Did a track session at Pingles this morning. 8 x 400mtr efforts with 90secs rest between. Ran them all between 76-78secs, which is faster than usual for me (and explains why I could only manage 8..!)

    Most Shocked About A Result

Good... Probably the Blackburn 5-0 Bad... Around a similar time, perhaps a year or two later, we played Tranmere in the league Cup. First leg away, lost 5-1.... I was playing snooker at the time and someone shouted the score out and thought they were on a wind-up.

    Championship favourite fixtures....

Simar here.... Forest, Norwich, Sheffield Wednesday. Obviously would love to have the prospect of playing Villa.

Not heard of that one.... Although I don't do any of the "virtual challenges" etc.... I'm not on Strava and don't even own a GPS watch. Record all my runs on pen & paper! Godiva Harriers, to answer your second question...

We're getting our weekly club sessions WhatsApp'd to us to do at home, on road, treadmill, etc. This week's was 6 x 3 minute efforts with 1.5 minute jog recovery in between. Last couple were most uncomfortable!

Great stuff on the pb! Fellrunning... It's still running... It's no surprise that the current top man is in the top 50 or so national cross-country runners (by comparison I have a Parkrun pb of around 18:30 and can't make the top 1000 in the national cross Champs) ... And another of the top...

Black Prince pub in tile hill

I'm sure you could do an equally fascinating review of all the pubs in Bedworth... Not so many now but in a lot of people here's living memory, had the most pubs per square mile of any English Town.

Measure my mileage over ten week blocks as I find it gives a better overall picture of consistent mileage. Last ten week block which ended Sunday, averaged 57 miles per week, and that included one full week off. So working from home them being furloughed had a massive effect of increased...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

To be honest, at any point in the past few years I'd have snapped your hand off to say we'd be in championship next season. I'm personally in no great hurry to be in the Premier League. Some huge games, local derbies in the championship... I'm not personally relishing the fact of a thrashing...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

We've hardly "walked it". While we were hovering around the lower playoff positions, people here were regularly claiming we'd flop. Some even taking relegation. We didn't win away until well into the season. Yes we appear to be a step above most teams in terms of consistency, and what we can do...

Great stuff Crawley...! I did a 2.1 mile time-trial down the "Greenway" between Burton Green and Kenilworth this evening. 12mins42 which is about 18:45 Parkrun pace (albeit over a mile less distance). So a bit more encouraging than my recent efforts.

    Running

When my Calf went a couple of years ago, unfortunately yes I did have to stop running for a couple of weeks. I was still able to use a cross-trainer, exercise bike. It's incredibly frustrating. But better to err on the side of caution. Mine went in a race and it was only a fortnight before the...

The difference between training for a 100mtr and a 5km is so vast as to basically be a different sport.... We have Olympic level at both in our club, and its night and day...

"pound for pound" in terms of cardio health it will give you the best workout and progression of all the traditional exercise methods. (swimming/cycling/Cross trainer/etc) The payoff to that is its hard (compared to things like using a cross trainer, bike, etc) and can be hard on the body.

    Bundesliga going ahead

There's no doubt 83000 every week, and that huge terrace behind the goal are fantastic. But I think there's better fan groups in Gernamy.... Eintracht Frankfurt for one. Union Berlin are fantastic for a small club. Dynamo Dresden in the European elite for fans despite their poor team.
