This made me smile as I was there! better times

I was there at both legs and also have the DVDs of both games. I was stood in the Sky Blue Terrace and witnessed an incredible second half display. I really thought we were going on to a Wembley final against Liverpool. My recollection is that the WH fans had the small pen near the main stand...

    MK Dons Away

I'm flying over from Singapore for the MK Dons game. I will also be going to Rotherham away on New Year's day but I will not be going to Sixfields.

    Statement by Councillor Ann Lucas

Anne should inform JS that she is coming down to SISU's offices next week to have talks and then invite the press to see her arrive. We will then know the truth as to who is refusing to have that meeting.

Sky Blue Trust statement in CET !!!!

Absolutely. We get about 3,000 fans going to away games that are as close as Northampton and we have about 1,200 fans travelling to Sixfields. Therefore, by my reckoning, about 60% of fans who would normally be prepared to travel that distance are choosing not to do so in order to support NOPM.

Sky Blue Trust statement in CET !!!!

Below is a translation of their statement: "The Sky Blue Trust has been approached by Mr Michael Orton, the co-ordinator of the Keep Coventry In Coventry campaign group asking the Trust to take over the running of this group. The Trust fully agrees with the ultimate aim of such protest groups...

New Broom reporting on the City at CT

Yes, that article is far more reasonable and balanced compared with the tripe written by Les Reid.

Question for those living outside of Coventry Re. the future of your support

I emigrated in 2001 to Asia and I usually pop over every year to spend about 300 quid in the club shop and I usually go to 2-3 games per year. This December I am bringing my family over from Singapore and I was hoping to take my son home and away. He went to HR as a nipper but he cannot...

Is 'CovBackToRicoh' really a 'LetSisuHaveTheRicoh' Campaign?

I genuinely think that if CCC sell the freehold to SISU then the club will be liquidated and the land/arena will be developed for an alternative use. Why on earth would SISU keep the club operating given that the club will never earn profits for them? People need to ask themselves why on earth...

    If?

If SISU get the freehold on the stadium I believe they will liquidate the club and then redevelop the playing area of the arena for an alternative business use. I believe that's why they want the freehold rather than simply a long lease. In any case if the council do sell to SISU they must...

    Stadium plans

Amazed there are people on here who have never heard of Joy Division. "Love will tear us apart" is huge. I'm not even a fan! I preferred the likes of The Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

    Divided we fall ......

I totally agree. I really think that all fans need to direct their angst and opprobrium towards those who they feel are most responsible. So those who hold TF and JS most accountable should be doing everything they can to to put pressure on TF and JS. Likewise, those who hold ACL and CCC most...

A Prison of Measured Time...blog update

I haven't seen any real abuse of Les. I have seen a lot of criticism of his "grilling" of JS and I have seen that he responds extremely poorly to that criticism by making ad hominem attacks on the people who have sent messages. If Les really has received thousands of messages of support from...

    Les Reid Tweet

I'm not sure why Les thinks that michael should resign. Resign from what? Normally people are asked to resign when they do a poor job in their position of employment. Michael works as a researcher at the Uni of Warwick so I don't see any reason why his involvement in NOPM should cause him to...

    Pretty Confirmed Now

I totally agree with the OP. Joy actually referred to building a new stadium as being "a dream". I think she was probably thinking "a pipe dream". Also, she was extremely vague in terms of what a new stadium and the surrounding buinesses would look like. Her vagueness regarding the details of...

    Les reid's ct article

"If all parties genuinely want the Sky Blues back at the Ricoh, it is becoming increasingly accepted that the best way of ensuring it happens soon is to sell the stadium to Otium/Sisu." I think this tells us everything we need to know about the impartiality of Les Reid. A lowly paid journalist...

    Natalie Cox

I remember when Natalie asked Ranson whether he and SISU had a Plan B (at the time of the question it was obvious we weren't going to get promoted which was Plan A). Ranson ridiculed her as did many of the posters on here.

Sky Blues administrator: Still time for warring parties to strike up a deal

Mr Appleton said: "I've found no evidence of any physical transfer of assets thus far. Well of course it wouldn't have been physical; I very much doubt a lorry turned up at Ltd and physically transferred the players to another company called Holdings. The word "physical" seems to be PA's 'get...

Tennis balls - Sheffield United Game

It's a shame that Fisher and co have not been arrested for their illegal actions (e.g., non-filing of accounts which is a violation of Company Law). It seems like it is one rule for them and a different rule for the supporters.

Tennis balls - Sheffield United Game

It's a tough call as there are reasonable arguments on both sides for taking a more or less confrontational position. However Michael and his team have done an excellent job thus far in terms of getting publicity. So I think we should perhaps give his non-confrontational strategy a chance to...

    Where do things stand now?

Except that it will move us backwards not forwards because the club is a fundamentally unprofitable proposition. Therefore SISU will try to separate the club and stadium once they get their hands on the Ricoh.
