    Friday transfer thread

Save yourself the trip and just take him into Scholar's after 12pm tonight. He's only 1 so won't be able to make sense of anything or understand what he's seeing....much like most of the patrons of Scholar's by that time on a Friday night.

SISU's latest appeal not until the Autumn

Did anyone notice that in Monday's judgement on the Labour leadership election (whether or not to allow members who've joined in the last few months to vote), the judge was Mr Gary Hickinbottom, of JR fame.

    Butts Groundshare Update

Actually they do not have to go to Europe, they have petition the Supreme Court to have them hear their appeal about the Court of Appeal verdict. Decision in a few months on whether that'll be permitted. If there is a "yes" in SISUs' favour, the Supreme Court appeal is not likely to be heard...

    Butts Groundshare Update

I knew it....this was never going to happen. Time to move on to realistic alternatives....oh wait, there's only one and that's to buckle up at the Ricoh, play Mr Nice Guy to get the best terms possible from Wasps, sit tight, see how tings develop over the next few years and hope to buy a stake...

    Chris Anderson speaks..

I know none of this will be easy for the club, but the point is that it needs to make life easy for its fans, not for itself.

    Chris Anderson speaks..

Many people on here predicted this would be a problem, so if CA is surprised at the chaos then he should not be. IMO the club should maximise ways of paying to make it as easy as possible. That means: 1) lots of cash turnstiles 2) turnstiles where you can swipe the debit card in a "tap and...

Match Thread Coventry v Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Aug

Quite seriously, why is this a problem for anyone?? I'd get it if you said "EFL game v L2 Pompey, 5k crowd to watch a virtual reserve game, no thanks I'll stay home and watch 'Can't Pay? We'll Take It Away' ". But people on here are saying they would go to the game but the fact that they've...

Or better still, either print off at home or have the ability to swipe your debit card on the turnstile for it to recognise that you paid with that card and then admit you (would need to be thought out carefully for multiple purchases, I grant you).

Match Thread Coventry v Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Aug

The funny thing about coming up against old faces like Barton in particular is that it reminds you that, once upon a time, there was a debate on here about whether to renew him or release him, or debates about his general worth. 12 months down the line (seems a lot longer!) and I doubt that...

Match Thread Coventry v Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Aug

I've said to a few people that if Finch hadn't been on a contract to 2017, TM would have released him in May. I really think h doesn't rate him. Same with Haynes who was farmed out to Cambridge on loan last spring but again has a contract out to 2017. If he's happy to rid himself of the likes of...

What do you think is the end game ?

Me too but I was just pointing out the correlation between results and moaning about SISU.

What do you think is the end game ?

Classic . we lose a game and the anti-SISU hate flowers on SBT. Next time we win, it'll pipe down again.

What do you think is the end game ?

I think they're appealing more in hope than expectation now. Winning would be a bonus but whether they ultimately win or lose, I expect them to stay anyway and continue with the core strategy of sitting tight and hope to take advantage of Wasps' failings in order to grab the Ricoh in the future.

What do you think is the end game ?

SISU's strategy now appears to be hold tight, try to break even, see what happens on the pitch (promotion would be a bonus) and hope that Wasps get into sufficient financial difficulties to enable SISU to use those difficulties as leverage in crowbarring at least a share of the Ricoh from Wasps...
