Are you sure you're not thinking of the game against Forest when they had to draw in order to win the league. That is the only time I know of when the whole of the Spion Kop was officially given over to away fans.

My recollection is that they had the corner of the Spion Kop terrace (which held about 3,000) plus the whole of the upper Sky Blue stand (not the Sky Blue Terrace which was where I stood). Altogether I reckon Wet Spam had about 7,000 fans there. So if we are talking Cov fans only and no away...

The online shop is now open again. Several hundred seats available still in block 9 plus singles around the ground.

Just been on the online shop and there are still tickets available. About half of block 9 is sold and it looks like the whole of block 9 is now available to city fans. Some singles also available in many blocks around the ground.

The League cup run of 1981 was really special. We beat Watford at home 5-0 in the QF and then in the first leg of the SF against Wet Spam we came from 0-2 down at half time to win 3-2. Such a shame we never made it to Wembley in that year.
