    The Squad

And taking off the Sky Blue tinted glasses: 1) Murphy - championship 2) Christie - lower championship / upper League 1 3) Keogh - championship 4) Cranie - lower championship / upper League 1 5) Clingan - League 1 (probably won't be here) 6) Bell - Blue Square 7) Baker - League 1 8) Deegan...

    Coventry City financial director quits

So how many finance directors have we had since SISU took over? I've lost count.:o Of course, this has nothing at all to do with SISU's incompetence as owners of the business. Don't make me laugh!

    Hotel and match ticket package

It's a billy bargain. Parking is free, breakfast is included, match tickets are included, rooms are not bad, and no taxi fare home after you stagger out of the Casino the worse for wear. When I went this season I won enough in the casino to pay for the whole thing.

    Rivals / Disliked Clubs

Villa - horrible club, with horrible fans. Delusions of grandeur. Scotland - vile thugs. Delusions of grandeur. Hate England. Liverpool - were the top team when I was a kid in the 1970s and so I had to suffer years of abuse from other kids in Cov who naturally followed Liverpool. Leicester -...

So how well SHOULD Thorn be doing?

I never said that did I. In my opinion there are three reasons for our financial failings: 1. No revenue from parking, food sales, etc. plus additional expense of 1m+ for renting the stadium. CULPRITS = the pre-SISU board. 2. Most clubs are apparently willing to continually spend more than...

So how well SHOULD Thorn be doing?

Yes, he did. And given the wages that we offer and the transfer fees we have paid, I think that on the whole the players are about as good as we can expect. Take Keogh for example. He's a very good acquisition given how much we paid for him. But that doesn't make Keogh a great player in teh...

So how well SHOULD Thorn be doing?

Teams always do better at home than they do away. It's not that much of a mystery that our home form is better. Just because we can win a few games does not mean we have a good squad. If you transplanted any League 2 team and put them in the Championship for a season, I would imagine they...

So how well SHOULD Thorn be doing?

They have spent a huge amount and they are therefore under-achieving. We have spent nothing but sold lots...hence our position in the table. What AT says to the media and what he says in private are two completely different things. Do you remember that clip on Sky Blue World when in an...

So how well SHOULD Thorn be doing?

Imagine you are someone who has a really good ability to find undervalued cars. Your boss gives you 300 quid to buy the best motor you can possibly find. You buy a car for 300 that is actually worth about 600. But the car is still crap. Think about it... Then check the wage spend at Coventry...

    Thorns replacement ..............

I honestly think that there is no manager in the world who could realistically have kept us from relegation given how poor our team already were last year and then the subsequent letting go of any players with any worth since the Summer. This is by far the poorest team I have seen at Coventry...

    Positivity... Boom!

When George Curtis and John Sillett were appointed as managers the Cov Telegraph heavily criticized the decision stating that it showed a lack of ambition from the club. (Those were the days when the CT actually had an opinion.) Most fans at that time would have had no idea what lay in store...

    SISU-Admin-Keys-Timing- Worst case scenario?

Stage payments are irrelevant to the timing of administration. SISU could easily raise a loan with a secured charge on the stage payments, which would enable them to pocket the money lent to them, while guaranteeing repayment to the lender through the fixed charge. Elementary finance, old chap. :)

Sammy Clingan - Don't shoot the messenger...

If he stays we are still going to be relegated and he will still leave in the Summer. If he goes, it just means SISU get a few more pennies before they leave. Meeeh, I can't see it makes much difference either way.
