    Rudoni …?

The system for me is less of an issue than the lack of intensity. In the Stoke and Norwich games we’ve strolled about. I’d stay with 4 at the back as we’re not conceding many goals but I would be tempted to try Wright through the middle flanked by Emc and Bta. Lots of pace there and in preferred...

I’m hopeful we’ve unearthed one with Bassette. Emc needs a goal or a performance of consequence and he may just take off. Dovin has the stamp of a good keeper for me and Rudoni will turn out to be a great piece of business. Yet to see it with Torp but hopefully from our most recent crop there...

    Rudoni …?

Agree with that. I think he’s trying to keep too many happy. I’d never have taken Simms and Wright off so early v Norwich and when subs did come on they were square pegs in round holes.

It’s not a lot of money nowadays though and the £4m is largely a figure established on here. I may be proved wrong but I do think in time at least two of them will massively increase in value (Kitching and Rudoni).

    Rudoni …?

Has massive potential for me. A real coup when we got him. Needs time but I think will prove to be a great player for us.

For every Hilsner you get a Wright. For every Walker a Simms. Or a Van Ewijk. Or a Sakamoto. Depends which narrative you want to serve.

Judgment already passed on emc and Rudoni then. At least you gave them 4 games.

Too many COOKS spoil the broth

Enlighten me then. What does each of them do?

Thomas and Kitching are our best defensive pairing but Thomas distribution has been lacking. There seems to be a school of thought that is anti Kitching but for me he’s a nailed on starter.

Too many COOKS spoil the broth

We’ve no idea what the new coaches are adding or otherwise. Why pretend otherwise

    Early days but basics lacking

I am baffled by the obsession of playing centre halves in pairings based on being left or right footed. At CH is doesn’t matter. You never hear it with CM’s. For me our strongest CB pairing is Binks and Kitching.

    Summer transfer window 2024

As well as sell on values of talent we have we also still have Gyokeres and Hamer sell ons in the background. But the question stands - if you aren’t going to break wage structures the amount of cash you have is less of a factor

    Summer transfer window 2024

Not sure about that. I’d rather see Andrews get some game time. Kelly was a long way off the pace.

Ah yes, forgot to mention the other two games. Two wins of course.

Can it really be that every game we get something from we were either lucky or playing reserves???

It’s not been piss poor though has it. We were excellent against Oxford and OK v Bristol and for 45 minutes yesterday. Could be better of course but “it’s all been piss poor” is just lazy.

Really? I thought we played some good stuff v Oxford. Beyond pitiful is ridiculous

You’ll find most teams miss their best players. You’ll also note we have picked up 4 points, not lost all 4

The meltdown is predictable. Many can’t understand why we can’t simply win every game and sign whoever we want. We’ve had a disappointing loss v Stoke, a good home win, a very good point at Bristol and a below par performance yesterday. The games we’ve lost have been 1-0. You constantly need to...

Agree, it wasn’t our best game. That’s football though isn’t it? I’m sure we’ve all been following us for long enough to appreciate it’s never straightforward and can never be as a marketeer would have you believe.
