    Guess Mowbray's Thoughts

When Joy told me she'd allocated money to stiffen up the defence, I thought.......

    Euro 2016 big thread

It was a poor final which was entirely fitting after a poor tournament. The fact that a mediocre team managed to scrape to the trophy was fitting too. They were a boring, dreary team with no ambition beyond avoiding defeat and winning after finishing third in their group makes a mockery of...

    Euro 2016 big thread

Sad to admit, but I do remember it. I would actually go for the format they had when Denmark won it without qualifying. It should be made more difficult to qualify so that we at least have the best teams. Far too much dross there for this tournament, 24 teams is ridiculous. Same for World...

    Euro 2016 big thread

It was only 4 teams at one time. In 1976 Wales reached the QFs but were knocked out over 2 legs. Only the semi-finalists went to the tournament which was held over a few days. It was the year Czechoslovakia beat West Germany on penalties with that Panenka penalty to decide it.

    Dear Wales...

Yep, all three scorers against Belgium were English. Maybe we should be supporting them as a sort of England 'B' team. Nice of UEFA to let us have two goes at it.

Maybe if you buy several tickets they will all be posted in separate envelopes to justify the fee!

So he is likely to be there until he draws his old age pension. Or until the club goes bust, whichever is the sooner!

    Parking next season

Leaving the EU will not make immigration controllable. That's my view based on what I've seen in other countries. We can keep non-EU people out now - in theory. That isn't going to change. It will very probably see many who have reached the EU entering through Ireland over the huge...

    Parking next season

I don't believe it will make much difference at all. Non-EU people have no right to rock up in the UK but it hasn't stopped them so far. And it's those that are the problem in the main, not EU citizens. Norway can't keep them out and I don't think we will either. One problem is that we will...

    Parking next season

For the sake of accuracy, there was NOT a referendum on whether we joined the EU or not. We joined in 1973 under Heath's Tory government. After 2 general elections in 1974 we had Harold Wilson who gave the country a referendum on whether to stay or leave. It was a clear majority to stay...

    Euro 2016 big thread

I really don't see how Hodgson can say he was happy with that tonight. Yes, we had all the possession and dominated territorially. But we simply don't have the players to break down a blanket defence and seem content to just keep lumping it in the vague direction of the opposition goal. We...

Starting to smell the coffe yet?

I have to agree with all of that. The bottom line for me is quite simple really. After all the nonsense about the rent strike, Sisu flounced off to Northampton like a tart having a hissy fit. That was the beginning of the end. It alienated most of the fans for sure, and they had no choice...

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

This is just bringing the Sisu endgame closer all the time. They have tried to manipulate and bully people all along and have ultimately been outmanoeuvred by the other parties. The others are enjoying their moment, and in a way who can blame them! The arguments about who has been right or...

Am I? I didn't think the details of match packages had been announced yet. No online facility for these tickets last season even though I'd have been happy to pay the postage. We shall see....

    Ticket office staff losing jobs

Absolutely right. I have almost become oblivious to the off-field soap opera that is CCFC these days. However, my concern is now our 'match day experience' which last season was inconvenient re tickets as we don't live in Coventry. Having been a fan since 1963 and having a season ticket every...

It will probably be much the same as now. The club is run by incompetent clowns who are determined to run it into the ground. I truly fear for its future and anyone who doesn't is deluding themselves.

    Legal action 2

I can serve the notice for them to quit at the end of their tenancy, usually 6 months or a year, giving 2 months notice. There does not have to be a reason at all for a S21. It often occurs when an owner sells a property, for instance, and the buyer wants vacant possession. That's what...

I said we wouldn't be having a season ticket last season. And we didn't. We went for a package.
