I could go on all day with great and bad moments with this club but here are ones that always stick in my mind
worst
1973 FA Cup Quarter Final away at Wolves L 0-2- wasn't there as my dad wouldn't let me go because of too large a crowd. Sat at home watching world of sport as the 2 goals went in...
We were the better team by a mile but everything went for us. Penalty in the first leg and Biamou's second would have been offside in the build up. That's 3 massive moments in a play-off and I'm just glad VAR wasn't around then.
Was the visiting keeper at my first City match at Highfield Road.Ernie Hunt scored for us in a 1-1 draw. Two great players now sadly gone from that game.
Replacing Sillett with Butcher was one the biggest mistakes the club ever made. Changed our direction overnight and we never recovered to the level when he left.
Remember clearly this and the replay. The replay at Derby always sticks in the mind as a great win as Derby were one of the top sides in the country. City played really well in a very close match. Cross scored in extra time and remember going crazy when he scored.
