    Mowbray sacked

Always likely to end this way imo although sooner than expected. He didn't like the setup at Sunderland as more & more was being taken out of his hands in terms of recruitment etc. with him not having the final say on players & WBA run a similar structure to that too. Obviously they are a big...

Impossible to tell from that & lino is brilliantly positioned.

My worry is when we have come up against supposedly 'lesser' teams away from home, that have a very clear identity of how they play, we have completely failed to adapt to it. Portsmouth, Derby & today we will have known in advance exactly what they would attempt to do & yet we have completely...

    2 games to go

2pts should see us over the line. Big let off today.

Of course it's the lad who should have been off who scores. Really poor this though & no more than they deserve.

Eh? He's only had 2 yellow cards all season.

    Leicester

Don't forget with the teams yo-yoing, the money they would have been given gets split between PL teams instead so the gulf just gets wider & wider. Leicester & Southampton straight backup = £102m just gifted to Premier League clubs. If Burnley & Sheffield United go up this year, that's another...

    Premier League thread

He's off to one of the top clubs in the summer. Man City most likely. Giving him minutes in the PL is all about the optics & maximising the compensation they'll get for him. Annoyingly, he's a Cov kid.

Bali Mumba is a RB traditionally, they sometimes prefer him at LB but had 2 LBs on the bench last time out.

    Ref again

A lot of misunderstanding around this. Since the introduction of headsets they are in constant communication with the referee. They don't immediately flag something as they speak to the referee first, much better that than one give one decision & one another - we've all seen how embarrassing...

    Joe Edwards Red Card

That in itself should be solid grounds for an appeal I'd say.

    Grimes Sheaf Rudoni

Yeah. He was the same for a period under Robins last season too tbf. Took a while to find his feet but then he was phenomenal in the cup run. There's a player in there despite some pretty obvious technical flaws & we're a better side with him in it imo. I can understand why fans (and coaches)...

    Not normally one to bleat…

Ridiculous reporting. Tbf, the local WBA reporters called it right in that we utterly dominated & it was a clear red card.

    Grimes Sheaf Rudoni

A good example of how to successfully press as a team - first Simms, then Wright penned them into an area they didn't want to be &, as you say, Grimes right there to capitalise brilliantly.

    Ref again

I'd like to see the Simms one again, anyone got a clip? I was certain at the time it should have been a penalty. I don't see how grabbing around the neck is ever a justifiable challenge. Wright was being held for sure but it's all about action & consequence - was that sufficient reason for him...
