Is it 1 April today ?

Upon arrival, he took 2 points from his first 4 games, their worst start for 21 years, and relinquished the managerial side with them 13th in the league (out of 16) to concentrate as a player, with Simon Davies taking on coach/managerial duties. Fair enough, when he retired as a player and took...

Is it 1 April today ?

Was it Anderlecht where he started out as (player/) manager ? He was hopeless with them, and fell on his feet joining burnley + with cash to spend. Bayern interest seems ludicrous.

    Transfer Rumour Alan Browne

I completely understand what you're saying, and i agree that those principles are VERY important (i come from a finance background), but it's also worth having a little bit of flexibility in your plans eg 1/2 January loans last season, might have got us into the playoffs (and paid for...

    Transfer Rumour Alan Browne

The thing that might be blinding Doug, as a reasonably successful business man, is that he wants our players to be 'assets' and for the club to grow their value, to fund a) our losses and b) our future player purchases. Older players certainly have less asset value and less margin to grow value...

Indeed, and they were in massive financial trouble (big loans) until new owner came in (unknown quantity)

    Apparently so

Looks like a recently relegated team is going back up. Although that sticks in my throat somewhat, it also means that the 2 defeated semifinal teams (WBA and Norwich) will be close to losing their parachute payments (EDIT Norwich now have lost them), and that should give them real financial...

    BOOKIES EARLY 24/25 CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTIONS

Sunderland have been rubbish this season, and will more than likely lose their best player (Jack Clarke). Unless they spend loads, i really cant see them doing well. Middlesboro seem to have come from nowhere to have a brilliant end of season, so i can see the logic of them doing well next year...

    BOOKIES EARLY 24/25 CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTIONS

Derby 7th, horse shit, on what grounds ?? Sunderland 5th, again on what grounds ?? Watford 4th, again why ?? ...the bookies are nuts

    Summer transfer window 2024

Browne looks pretty useful...tap ins, headers, long range...seems to have a bit of everything. Also, anyone who is voted player of the season, must surely be a decent player, and if available on a free, then brilliant (wages will be partially offset by those who are leaving). Maybe that's why...

    END OF SEASON AWARDS EVENING

Might be mistaken, but i thought it's been said that Maddison was a Man Utd fan ?

    In summary

For markedly different reasons, these 2 transfers might actually happen...fingers crossed. Gyok's new teams has smashed it (as he has), and won the league, and his value has soared. Hamer's team has tanked and been relegated, but he has stood out, and prem clubs will surely want him. Did...

Palmer is playing instead of O'hare...i understand that...o'hare is leaving. So why is Dasliva playing instead of Bidwell ? It cant be on form...i just hope Bidwell's not off too, as he's our only solid LB

    Watch along

Those heavy Manc accents are so difficult to understand lol One 'twat' even said...Coventry have come so far for the game today...clearly showing 1..he's not in Manchester 2..he's a fecking southern glory hunter. 'Corrupt'..possibly mate, but 'big' teams nearly always gets decisions their way...

    Next Season

Never would have thought i'd write something like this after his start to the season, but i think we may well get some offers for Simms in the summer. He eventually found his mojo, and his scoring rate has been phenomenal since the new year. The chance to turn a quick profit, hopefully won't...

    Next Season

I doubt it...his agent will tell him to put any 'emotions' to one side. This will be his biggest and most important contract, so he'll no doubt be advised to make a professional and business like decision.

    This is not nostalgia but…

Was thinking p'boro too...a very attacking team would suit him, and his numbers would probably be just as impressive.

    United v Cov Predictions

If we play like we did against Birmingham, 6-1 defeat, or worse. If we play like we did against Wolves, 3-2 win. Any kind of middling, average performance, sadly we'll probably be outclassed. Imho, our only hope is to play a blinder, as normally the gulf in class is large.
