Apologies for any misunderstanding. I was and did not say anyone was, I was clarifying my own point that I am not making an exception of them, and to do so would be harsh.

But, to keep honest to my original point, it's only the media narrative I am in some sense "attacking". Wrexham is just a symptom of a wider systemic disease, and making an exception out of them would be harsh in the grand scheme of things.

A historic injustice doesn't justify the actions of a club, romanticised by Sky Sports, to the detriment of others and the sport, though?

I think this is probably the root of my slight antipathy towards Wrexham. To make an exception of them for spending big would be ignoring precedent, can't say I dislike the owners particularly, Wrexham bandwaggoners will be bundled together with the others who partake in that particular...

Cheating like we saw from Southampton needs to be stopped

True, but what I'm trying to get out is there is now a lack of subtly to so-called "game management" in modern football. I always found things such as time wasting to be more of an art, but now it's just so blatant and referees sit by and allow it to happen. I wont give away my exact age, but...

Cheating like we saw from Southampton needs to be stopped

Unfortunately, this is modern football. Teams come away from home with an aim to stop the opposition playing, sometimes even literally. As I'm sure everyone knows, this is not exclusive to Southampton, and us being top means most teams will come to the CBS with this mentality. So, I don't blame...

Match Thread Coventry City - Southampton Match Thread - Saturday 14th Mar

Ah, that was a tad frustrating, felt we had the chances to at least get a draw, if not win the game. Think a few comments about us not being very good is a tad harsh, but I will give Southampton a crumb of credit and say it was a "perfect" away performance, take your chances and make the game as...

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Wednesday 11th Mar

I still can't get over the sub bench, to be honest. We had our top scorer not even get on the pitch, we brought on our opposition's player of the season last year, a central midfielder on around eight goals this season, and one winger who is a Premier League player and another we signed for...

Keeps them in and around it for their games against Ipswich and Middlesbrough. The more teams scrapping for places below us, you could argue it could work in our favour. That being said, I also will celebrate a Derby equaliser/winner. Funny old game haha

Not sure, they are still several points away and play both Ipswich and Middlesbrough. Weirdly, I can see a positive for any result involving Millwall tonight.

    Championship thread 25/26!

The way I see it is If they had a decent striker I could see them being top, to be honest. But they don't, so we are. Their midfield wants a team to press on to them, as they are very close to one another and can easily ping it around a team. Fortunately for us, we got our press and tactics...
