I think Bassette is decent and lively and will imrpove with time but I really think we should be giving Simms a run of games. He has done ok when he's come on recently and seems more suited to the lone striker role. He just needs to get a goal or two ad he'll be off I think. That said we will...
I think I’ve only been the the Hawthorns once and it was 1-1. That’s my prediction for Weds, wouldn’t be a terrible result and confidence will slowly start to build
I don’t think a spell out of the team means wasted money. He’s young and presumably they’re bedding him in. I think he’ll be good and here for a long time (Dovin)
In the final third of the last couple of seasons we had injury problems and everyone on here was going on about how we'd ballsed up by not buying in January fo fill the squad. When we have enough players to cover the squad everyone says the guy who hasn't played for 3/4 games must be written...
All this stuff about Kitching being a waste of money is over-reaching at this point, in my opinion. He had a really good spell last season and has been in and out of a poorly performing team this season. I think he’ll get a chance under Lampard, as others are. It looks like he’s keen to see...
I think Rudoni is a very good player. He may not be as exciting as O'Hare but he can hold the ball and pick a pass, has a better shot that O'Hare. I think he does sometimes seem to disappear in games, I don't know if that's because of tactics or him being unwilling to show for the ball. I tend...
So it sounds like they are going to be there for taking in terms of their defence. My friend is negative at the best of times but he is absolutely convinced we'll do them on Saturday...
A message from my Millwall supporting friend (he's actually a nice guy):
"Honestly mate, I can’t describe how bad these reserves are that will come in. The two centre backs starting next week have played a combined total of 7mins this season. We’re totally fucked as they have no pace...
I would say that Sakamoto, Milan, Wright, Eccles, BTA, JDS are examples of players who come across well. Others like Simms, Sheaf, Kitching seem a bot more serious but that doesn't mean they are horrible people.
I like a lot of these players. Lots of the same people last season saying 'I love this team' when we beat Wolves and went to Wembley, as well as other results. This idea that players are unlikeable because the team underperforms is weird to me. Putting the 3 players who used to play for Barnsley...
I just checked and Tavares has been with us for over 4 seasons and has made 21 league appearances, nearly off the bench I think. Strange to keep him if he never plays, seems a waste of a career, he turns 24 in Jan.
I wouldn't mind seeing Tavares play sometimes, has he had any games in the league this season? He isn't the best player but has done ok for us, he's quick so you'd think 20 minutes at the end of a game would be worth it sometimes. Did he fall out with Robins I wonder?
I wonder if Dovin has some kind of psychological issue, or homesick or something like that. I though he was ok and it seemed odd to drop him having spent money on him. Or maybe he was brought in for development. Either way I don't think there's much difference between Collins and Wilson, both...
I agree that we've played quite well. But we have clearly set up to simply clear the ball whenever we can and not worry too much about where it goes. It just looks like a team playig against a team way ahead of them and play for 0-0. I hope we hold them off until 65 mins and then make 3 chages...
