Its a rock-hard track. Its designed for sprinters and wheelchair racing. So although it is "quick" it is not particularly forgiving on the legs for us endurance runners. I occasionally go across to Nuneaton and pay a few quid to do a session there.... their track is much kinder on the legs.

It depends on the times and days. In theory, unless you are a University student, or a Godiva member, you are supposed to go through the track reception and pay..... but i suspect it isn't particularly well enforced. However tuesday/thursday evening between about 5 - 8:30 are exclusively...
