    Tims latest missif

How exactly are Sport England expected to force the Higgs centre to renew CCFC's preferential booking arrangement (let's not even talk about a tenancy)? Sport England have to be consulted because playing fields are being removed. They need to decide if usage of the new facilities will be...

    Wasps CCFC Relationship

It's more that going from being tenants, with poor attendance, but established fanbase, to being tenants with no established fanbase, and 10 minutes away from the league champions (who'd only moved in recently and put in huge efforts to drum up local support) isn't really a sensible move.

    Wasps CCFC Relationship

That's one article. Another says it's dead in the water same as Booker airfield (meaning the council dropped it) and the third says Wasps would have been tenants to the council, and not owners. Right now, all it is, is a pie in the sky stadium (15k or 20k doesn't seem fixed) that hasn't got...

    Wasps CCFC Relationship

Seemingly dead in the water ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/premiership/11157712/Wasps-fans-swap-riots-for-grumble-and-a-pint-at-Adams-Park-as-survival-instinct-wins-the-day.html ). Hasn't been a single news article on the possibility of it being built since it first came up in...

No idea whatsoever. Could argue that ACL is separately run company (albeit 50% owned) so therefore it shouldn't effect the councils credit rating, as it's not the council making the financial decisions for the ACL. Guess it depends on the management structure of the ACL?

I'm sure he'd have purchased it at that price as well, if he could have. But I've noted the Higgs line trotted out multiple times here (in reference to SISU and Wasps), and didn't want the potential impact of CCC letting ACL go bust to be missed, it's another consideration that CCC may have...

£2.77M, plus a stand named after the charity, plus 50p of every ticket sold in that stand, minimum £40k donation a season, sounds a lot less screwed than sod all.

Back to Court on Wednesday 8th July 2015

It's been ruled appropriate once already. It doesn't have to be considered a typical commercial loan, due to the councils stake. The argument the appeal for the appeal was that the council would have been better off letting ACL go bankrupt. Leaving them with 100% ownership of the freehold and...

    If SISU won compensation...

If SISU are out, then Wasps probably wouldn't mind working with whoever takes over CCFC. If SISU stays in, after potentially costing Wasps a whack of cash, then there may be issues down the line,

First real/fake grass being put down at Ricoh

The people placing the pitch have also been retained to maintain it, so you'd hope they'd not make such mistakes, they were also in charge of the temporary pitch that was laid a few months ago (which actually held up surprisingly well towards the end).

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Ah, that would make more sense, apologies for the misunderstanding. Our forum bans trolls (and even then reluctantly and slower than most would like), but I don't believe there's been any bannings of any kinds recently.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Not that odd, openly stated in my first post here that I was a wasps fan (from overseas no less). Try not to interfere that much, I'd guess most my posts have probably been trying to help clarify the chain of owners involved with wasps (not that I'm 100% sure of it, but relying on Rob Smiths...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Except it's not a like a repayment mortgage, they don't have to pay off the capital each year. In 6.5 years they either need to take out a bank loan for the amount or issue a new bond. They need to cover the interest, and do it convincingly enough for people to buy into another bond in 7 years...

    Early bird prices out:

Rugby fixtures come out at the start of the season, but the days aren't fixed. If the football fixtures come out first I guess wasps can ask to try and fit in with that as much as possible. Rugby fixtures then get fixed in blocks as BT decide which games they're televising, then they work to...

    Early bird prices out:

They'll try i guess. Not sure exactly how it's done but i do know football gets first dibs. Rugby daysand times are sorted according to bt if they want the game televised. If they don't the club can play when it wants/is able.

    Early bird prices out:

CCFC will have primacy for match fixtures, it's how football/rugby shares work. Wasps will play on Saturdays when CCFC don't have a home game scheduled for that Saturday, otherwise the Wasps game will shift.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

There will be European games regardless. Finishing in the top 6 puts you in the top flight competition, which will give better sponsorship opportunities and likely better crowds, but there will be games regardless (just potentially against Romanian sides as opposed to the best in Europe).

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

Taken from Rob Smiths blog (ex wasps coach). "With regard to the financial set up of Wasps we simply do not know any or hardly any of the details. What we do know is Wasps RFC are the trading company, have bought the leasehold, most likely pay rent to CCC on the freehold, own 50% or 100% of...
