    2016 Stats

Well that was a proper "anis horribilis" for City if ever there was one. Can anyone put up the stats for the year and maybe confirm whether this has been the worst calendar year for City in living memory?

    All eggs in one basket?

I`ve been listening in and reading comments on here enough to know that the team has a number of shortcomings so I`ve lowered my expectations and I`ll be "happy" with survival this season. I don`t think it will be possible to fill all the gaps in January as it would mean spreading the budget...

    Who would you pick ?

Just a bit of whimsy but if you could magically put a player from the past (at his peak) into the current team to help put the team back on the rails who would it be ? I`d like to see a wide player who would make some of the full backs in this league wonder if they`d taken up the right career...

    Momentum

Up until the current run City seemed unable to put together enough good performances to IMO, mount a serious bid for the "automatics". This seems to have changed in the last few weeks and has been reflected in the results, and this builds on itself. Putting a run like this together must add...

    Gordon Milne

Just felt I had to react to sneering remarks about GM on the Proschwitz thread. IMO Milne was one of the best managers we`ve had in the long time I`ve followed City. He was an advocate of attacking football at a time when most other teams were obsessed with defence. Sure, one or two of his...

Career ending injury while with city

It`s a terrible thing when any player suffers an injury which forces him to quit the game or only play at a lower level afterwards. It`s even worse if he potentially had a great future in the game taken away from him. Off the top of my head I can think of four city players who suffered injuries...

    Leon Clarke

I see he`s been released by Wolves. Would anyone fancy City taking him on again? You fellers have the advantage of me having seen him at first hand, but from what I know of his record I reckon he just had a purple patch last time with us playing alongside Wilson and I was none too impressed...

    Micheal Gynn

Seeing the story on him in today`s CT on his induction into the posh hall of fame. I thought I`d give my own personal appreciation of his time at CC FC.. He was right up there for me among my favourite players to wear a sky blue shirt. He was often (too often imo) left out of the 1st 11 and...

    Bi Polar Fans

Last week there was wild optimism from some with (in ascending order) talk of a top half finish, a possible play off place and even a suggestion we could win every game from there on! All on the basis of two good performances. One bad performance later all is doom and gloom again. Aren`t people...

    Buzzing again!

I`d love to be at the Ricoh today, haven`t felt this much enthusiasm in years. Common sense tells me that Mowbray has only been in the job a few days and it`s the same bunch of players, but when has common sense had much to do with following the Sky Blues? I should know better and yet.....

    Mowbray`s Call?

Miss the old CET forum and have belatedly decided to join this one, having seen some familiar names on here (Torchy, RFC, Malaka, SB Fred and others). Was gutted hearing that Mowbray`s appointment is only for 8 weeks, but on giving it some thought I wonder if that was his decision rather than...
