    Wasps downward spiral...

So, which areas are actually going quite well if all three parts of the business have been significantly hit? Arthur Daley would be nodding his head in approval.

    Mortimer &Whitehouse- Gone Fishing

Tuned to the Key of Life? Funnily enough, there was a blind piano tuner in Coventry in the 70's and he certainly knew his stuff. Don't remember his name but it wasn't SW lol.

'Three quarters of our business or more comes via non-sporting entity'. Hmm... three quarters of bugger all is still bugger all.

Match Thread Bristol City V Coventry City

Would be very happy with a draw here so with shades of 1977, I'm going for 2-2 @ 12/1.

Thought you were joking with Wycombe. Would be a cracking signing for them.

Stockdale managed to do it though. Would feel much more confident with him here than Wilson.

The 'not so obvious' hot babes thread!

You stupid boy, Pike 🙄 PS I do remember the Double Deckers and the theme tune is now going round in my head. Don't remember the girl though, at that age I was probably more interested in the bus.

    POLL. Your predictions

Mid table. Yes, it's a big step up in class but the Club is on an upwards trajectory, with confidence and momentum from last season and some astute signings this summer. Don't think the management team will be aiming to just survive and we could surprise a few.

    Item Coventry Blitz

My grandparents lived in Woodside Avenue, a couple of streets from Green Lane and told me of a house at the Kenpas Highway end sadly took a direct hit. I don't know why that area suffered so badly, the Standard Triumph factory was 2 miles or so down the A45.

    Transfer Rumour Tyrese Sinclair

$200 a day plus expenses. The TransAm is a thirsty car to keep on the road!

    Snooker

I saw Higgins play Reardon at a UK Championship semi final in Preston. During the mid session interval, Higgins was in the public bar surrounded by groupies/minders and a table full of drinks, no doubt three sheets to the wind. Reardon I presume was on the practice table. Higgins ended up...

    Snooker

Yes, agree. As mentioned earlier in the thread, the natural talent/genius in Reardon's era was Alex Higgins where sadly the distractions too often overcame his sublime ability. Two opposites in terms of character but respectful of each other and fascinating to watch for very different reasons.

    Snooker

Going back a few years, I would suggest that Ray Reardon was a gentleman, magnanimous and a nice guy....and a serial winner with a ruthless streak on his way to 6 World Championships.

    What a week

I share the same day as you but am only a youngster of 60 this time round. Family are spread far and wide so full celebrations are on hold until such time as we can do it properly. Just sitting here reflecting on a fantastic last few days with a couple of bottles of Taylor's vintage port and...

If you became rich beyond your wildest dreams......

Memories of Bernard Unett at the wheel. Hard to choose between the GLS and Avenger Tiger though. Also a Beecham Mk II Jag has plenty of appeal.

    First ever CCFC memories ?

Didn't witness it as it was before my time, but I met Charlie Ashcroft in 1987 at the Leyland Motors social club in Lancashire shortly before the Cup Final. The club was affiliated to the FA and as such, were due 6 tickets for the Final and I was there one Saturday night trying to blag a ticket...
