I don't think so. We went 1-0 up through Mcsheffrey, they equalised, had a man sent off and we went on to win 3-1

I saw this stat on GMK, I assume you either got it from there or you are the same guy who wrote it. I took the trouble to check because I couldn't believe it had been that long, in fact we came from behind to beat Watford in September 2009 which makes it about 139 games. Still an appalling record but not quite as bad.

Yeah same guy. Missed Watford.....still shockingly bad.

So last time we came from behind to win was Watford Sept 2009 - 139 games ago
last time we won after conceding first was Blackpool Jan 2009 - 167 games ago

Not sure why people are taking the piss throwing random stats about.

Another worry for me is MOTM performances by midfield players.

There was Baker against Brum. Struggling to find many more (if any) over the past few years past that though.

What other MOTM performances have we had from a midfield player over the past 2 or 3 seasons? Bet you can probably count them on one hand.

Your not wrong - we have one of the most ill equipped midfields in the league.

Been piss poor for many a year.

We thought Bell would maybe the answer. He has failed miserably thus far.

We thought Clingan would be the answer. He failed miserably too.

We thought Deegan might be the answer. He wasn't.

Last MOTM midfield performance apart from Baker I can recollect was Jordan Henderson.

I probably have missed one or two I know, but the fact is there aren't many for sure. Can fully understand why Robins has identified the need for a midfield general.

Would like to re-phrase my question here somewhat if I may.

When was the last time a midfielder of ours dominated and controlled the central midfield?

I'd say Dennis Wise. That season we looked like a completely different team when he joined us. We've had nothing like that since really.

Yep. How sad is that.

Thought Clingan was going to be that player but it never ever happened.

We had one very good season out of Stephen Hughes I recall.

There has been a couple of players I'd have thought might have fitted that particular mould. Clingan was one of them. I thought Beuzelin might have been a bit of a boss in there as well, but again it didn't happen. Stephen Hughes was immense in his first season with us, but went downhill afterwards. The simple fact is we've not had a commander in the middle of the park for too many years and it shows.

Yep, Norwood on occasion, not consistently though. A lot to do with the team mind I would have thought.

Just noticed that Crystal palace came back from being 2-0 down to win 4-3 yesterday...
