A mate of mine sadly lost his lad Tyler a few weeks back. He was only 17 and massive City fan, home season ticket holder for many years and regularly travelling away with us.
Fantastic lad, really quiet, unassuming and was never any trouble to anyone. I know people generally say nice things about those no longer with us, but he really was a genuinely nice lad without a bad bone in his body. His family are really lovely people too.
Tyler's funeral was on Thursday, everyone wore Sky Blue (even a Villa, Wolves & Leeds fan!) and was attended by a huge number of people. A great sight in tribute for him, Sky Blue flares set off, City flag draped over him and PUSB flowers.
Another friend of ours is trying to get across all social media to try and get a round of applause going for Tyler in the 17th minute at next Saturday's home game, as Sunday (22nd) would have been Tyler's 18th birthday.
I don't do much on Facebook etc, so this is my contribution to try and help spread the word. I'd be really grateful if as many of you who read this, could not only join in, but please help to share far and wide.

Saw his dad, Dave, at Watford yesterday, with a Tyler 17 on the back of his shirt. Gutted for the family (something no parent should have to go through - my lad is only a year older) Hopefully everybody will join in commemorating in the 17th minute. RIP Tyler
As I know full well, losing a child is never the natural order of life. My hands will be glowing red on the 17th minute.
Not the right time now, but the Sue Ryder site for bereaved parents can be of some comfort in grieving times. My wife has made many good friends with other parents suffering the same loss. Only they/we can fully understand the shoes we walk in. Maybe you could pass on these details.

I thought the club could have done more on the scoreboard Rob , just to instigate us all clapping , on the 17th minute , as it seemed a little hit & miss , as hee was a lovely lad
God Bless Tyler

I think, normally, they would. However, we've not seen one replay this season. So, it would imply the tech is down or the incompetence runs through the club, despite the hires.
