So this is the first time we have won our opening 3 games of the season since 1992. That season we finished 15th.

Trying my hardest not to get carried away but its difficult when we are playing the football we are playing.

I am finding it difficult to imagine us losing at the moment! Just think if we can get a win at Walsall the attendance could be incredible for Southend and it deserves to be!

We need to get behind the boys and what Mowbray is doing! Incredible start to the season its not often i come into work after a weekday game in a good mood!

Just incase no one had realised yet after the singing last night or the league table this morning but......

WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE

Depends if 500 people decide to collect their tickets at 7.30 I guess rather than just walk straight through a cash turnstyle.

the annoying thing is only 1 saturday home game before the end of september
Hopefully we can keep the run going into october, or the home crowds will not get the advantage of this super start

Which is of course what the club told people to do...

"Fans are urged to buy their tickets online as it is CHEAPER to purchase tickets for tonight's game..."

Yes, I read this and thought f*** me someone's (probably wasps) invested in a proper paperless eticket system. Went online thought great, yes it says eticket, paid then got the confirmation saying - oh you have to queue up before the game and collect it. Wtf?? I could have just paid on the night. My mate moaned his tits off at me and made us get there at 630 - which as it happens was a good call!

Remember the start of 1992-93 very well. John Williams scored a goal at spurs that defied physics, he bent it round the keeper the wrong way, it should've hit the corner flag but nestled in the net. Happy days.

To be fair, one of those games is on a bank holiday and then there are quite a few away games. Not much can be done about that.

I have never understood why we are considered to be the first league leaders of the Premier League. We beat Middlesbrough 2-1 on the opening day. I don't believe that no other club didn't win by more than one goal.

Outright leaders. after the third game we were the only ones left with a 100% record.

Why don't we use Wasps ticketing system? Is there a reason. Surely it'd be cheaper to tack onto their systems than run our own. We could do print at home tickets then.

They probably want a ridiculous amount of money for us to use their system.

think they use ticketmaster or something don't they? The system is being updated, so maybe we will be?

Wasps sell through Ticketmaster so they will be using the Ticketmaster 360 back end. The club could have their own account and access to create events for the Ricoh which is already programmed on there.

The issue will be cost. The current system is, I suspect, an off the shelf system the club purchased at a one off cost, hence why it runs on their own server and wouldn't work when they had crappy internet when they first left the Ricoh.

Ticketmaster will charge a fee per ticket. Normally this is passed on to the customer as booking fees, postage etc but we all know what the response would be if that was implemented so the club would need to use the other option where the fees are invisible to the customer. Problem for the club is, as anyone who uses Ticketmaster knows, the fees aren't small so they would lose a big %, I would guess somewhere around 20%, of the ticket revenue.

That isn't what happened though. I got in the queue at 7 and by 7.50 was only outside the entrance of the casino
