at 5pm i said i'd take a point, so i'm happy. Three away draws on the bounce, shame the home form isn't complimenting that. We never get anything at Burnley so point gained, lets hope we can say the same on saturday night.
By the sounds of the callers to BBC C&W after the game we played really well, passing the ball to feet and looking the better side most the game. Got to be a plus to be doing that away from home against a playoff-chasing side. It's frustrating that we can never keep a lead i agree, but i'm gonna channel the spirit of Aidy and choose to take the positives today!
I'd certainly have taken a point before the game, and so with a good performance to add to that hopefully we can go to Preston on Saturday and take all 3pts. I'm going to the game too, and it's a bit of a trek up from London, so hopefully they play this "entertaining" game that Thorn was going on about after the match and get the right result!
Given how woeful Scunthorpe are and their remaining fixtures (ditto Sheff Utd) we could probably lose nearly every game and not go down.
Interesting though maybe a coincidence....1st game without Aidy, 2 away goals, 12 shots on target and the lions share of possession with the ball on the FLOOR! Maybe he had lost the dressing room after all.
I havent seen the highlights from the game, but from peoples reports it does sound quite refreshing. 3 upfront away to a playoff team! Dangerous, but often attack is the best form of defense. Keeping Burnley to only 8 shots at home is a good result in itself. Still, it counts for nothing if we dont get the 3 against Preston on Saturday.
