Is the whole block unsold? You would of thought that had goneNot sure but if it was sold out apart from a couple of thousands extra we were given surely block 141 would of already been sold.
Well we stretched our legs last night with 5-1 win against Bury........ there were only 33 scouts from other clubs in the crowd, mostly looking at Marvin J, can`t see him staying around as he is destined for better things.Possibility he could tear you new one on Sunday if he doesn`t showboat it.
Connor McAleny got a hat-trick from midfield, second of the season..... he won`t be playing Sunday on loan from Everton... hope he stays!
Highlights.....Oxford 5-1 Bury
i hope the bookies do a bet for the above, especially going in off someones kneeA few of our loan players are also unable to play, we will miss our most recent centre back pairing of Clarke and Rawson. I am hopeful it will be a really decent game, which we will sneak a win with an extra time deflected winner
did they play that at Stamford bridge? In the group stages we were away at Chelsea kids..... game ended in a draw...... the Chelsea fans that were there got up and walked out..... didn`t realise there was a "bonus point" penalty shoot out if it was a draw.....we lost the shoot out 13-12 in sudden death after it finished 5-5 in the head to head bit........34 pens new record !
Seats available in block 141 now there will be gaps all over the place.
Approaching 28,000Any idea of how many Oxford have sold, I can probably find this somewhere however I am lazy.
13+12+5+5 was 35 when I went to school. I assume you didn't attend the local university. :cat:In the group stages we were away at Chelsea kids..... game ended in a draw...... the Chelsea fans that were there got up and walked out..... didn`t realise there was a "bonus point" penalty shoot out if it was a draw.....we lost the shoot out 13-12 in sudden death after it finished 5-5 in the head to head bit........34 pens new record !

I wonder if he'd be a sisu or council lover.
Looks as though cov fans are classed as alcoholics and Oxford as fat View attachment 6879

Ownership ....... well we`ve had Mr Kassam who "took us on a journey"..... almost to non-league oblivion.
Shrewd & tough businessman who bought the Manor for a nominal fee (£1 is quoted but it was nearer £5 million with debt etc) and took on our half built ground (when it REALLY was half built) and the FC debt.
He then shifted ownership of the Manor through a company or three and sold the ground for circa £16 million to Nuffield Health (its a hospital now).
He then used a few quid of his profit to partly finish the new ground. He now charges us about £550,000 a year to rent said ground & can`t even mend the bogs.
London Welsh arrived to groundshare and tried buying the ground out from under us........ sadly the cunts went bust.... we don`t miss them.
Our current chairman, Darryl Eales tried to buy Brum (lifelong fan) but his £30mill was turned down so he got us instead....hes had his fingers in many pies from Marrusia F1 to others. Really nice bloke, often on the terraces with the supporters... likes a drink.... we got thoroughly trollied at Rotherham!
Councils...... sheesh...... new ground is wedged next to green belt which is Uni owned but still close enough to the City to be of value..... if we were to move out the value of the land we are on escalates to silly money. There is talk of a move to Water Eaton just off the A34...... brownfield site but there is so much tit for tat with County,City & other councils thats at least 10 years down the road for planning let alone building.
The similarities are almost too close for comfort.....
Intransient landlord whose current end game is to sell the football ground & car parks for housing,as it is inside the city council boundary and offers prime development space next to his hotels & leisure complex.
Then factor on the supportersTrust who have recently slapped a community interest right to bid order on it, and other parties who previously wanted to move the Club to other locations and you have a right tangled mess of "interested parties".
Many of the interested parties have been blindsided by Kassam before so they "don`t get on" which leaves us with the supporters trust, Darryl Eales & Kassam at a bit of an en passe with all wanting different outcomes!
Kassam wants around £16+ million for what is there but won`t sell to an individual (eg: Darryl) he is willing sell to the Trust ..... Darryl funds/bankrolls the FC and its losses/revenues so could do without paying 1/2 million in rent & could do with matchday revenue from catering & corporate (Kassam gets that as well!!).......the other parties seem to think that Water Eaton could be a "proper ground with everything under the FC`s control" for sub £20 million........ interesting times ahead.
Me........ buy it..... put the fourth stand up (footings are under the car park already)...... fill the corners..... 25k capacity and flirting with the top of the Championship..... :nailbiting::nailbiting::happy:
Kassam sounds like the scum of the Earth
He's actually paid for things with real money, and he released them when the timeKassam sounds like the scum of the Earth
Surely he was questioned when he unsuccessfully tried to merge you & Reading together? What an obnoxious scumbag he was?!Maxwell was another character..... just using other peoples money with so much front nobody ever questioned him..... then he fell off.
Football chairman/owners rarely get where they are with out stepping on a few folk on the way up.
Pretty much goes for most who hold power wealth and influence, look at our GrendelMaxwell was another character..... just using other peoples money with so much front nobody ever questioned him..... then he fell off.

As we fans can't afford to buy the club maybe we should start a fundraising page to buy Joy & Tim a boat?At least there was a happy ending with Maxwell
