If he's been signed by us, I wouldn't be so sure.

Anybody know what sort of player? Says he brings goals, will be play along side Doyle or in front.

He got banned for 6 games last year for pushing a ball boy. Have a look on youtube!

All two year deals too, so it seems we're confident we'll find somewhere to play the season after next, at least!

Baker is under contract so would need a fee.

Isn't the rumour just because he used to play for us?

Why would it need a fee loads of players with contracts go for free.
Maybe they just want shot of him to release his wages for a better player now they have gone up?

I was told on Friday that Fisher got a shock when he realised that last season's budget was only on par with about 8th or 9th in league two and so SISU have agreed that they need to invest more. Hence what we are seeing now. Might be bollocks, might be that they sell some players to cover it or it might just be true. Also heard that Burge will be going for deffo.

I can't believe what's happening. It's almost like we're a well run football club.

Just googled the ball boy thing, was expecting it to be a 6 year old

He's bigger than the player.

He signed for 3 years for 200k for them, I guess he had a relegation clause?

That's what I was wondering - I guess it depends on whether we retain Bigi / Stevenson. It could be a move to build some depth to the squad (hopeful...). Deegan 2.0?

We should'nt have any issue with our ball boys - they have only just about got off their seat when play has restarted - theres a few of them still stuck inside those triangular advert boards still looking for a ball from last season

Sounds like we will have steel in the middle of the pitch even if Doyle isn't as physical as people make out. Positive signs!

Hopefully he can deliver a proper set piece as we've been desperate for this since baker left

I just can't get over the fact that we've signed FOUR players and this season play offs haven't even finished yet. Did we even sign 4 permos by the start of pre-season last year??

This is not way we do business...what's happening?! Two year deal again. Brilliant.

Happy enough although it must be said he has joined us from the team that got relegated to the Conference - yes, I know they've got all sorts of problems off the field!

Something on a Oldham forum. Sounds like Robins will play the way he did circa 2012 where Bailey and Jennings played holding roles :

Well pissed off! We do not, do not, sign players this early in pre-season! Its our tradition, its the Coventry Way - and clearly Robins has no respect for us or the Coventry Way!

Was out for a while with injury/ FA ban BUT thought he was a really good player. Fighter

Very good singing Cov fans. He was injured/suspended a lot for us last year and we missed him enormously. League 1 standard easily

Jamie Stafford‏@JEStaff 23m23 minutes ago
Solid center mid. One of those where if the team has an off day, he'll probably be your best player. Grafter but works hard too. Will miss
