I was not referring to the sky Blue followers at sixfields?? Then again as you brought them up, they are not in a postion to criticise the Wasps.
For the record I was reffering to some of the posters on here.
You getting paranoid!
and you honestly telling me you never have sent letters with silly supervisual flaws??
No, I am outraged at people who think it was fine to throw shit at people watching their team play but then come on here justifying how moving teams is fine and great.
We know you've been knocking on about It for 6 weeks now .
Bloody hell you keep tub thumping the same tired line constantly.
PLEASE TRY AND UNDERSTAND FOR ONCE.....most people in fact nearly everyone are appalled at SISU, The Council, ACL, et al in different measures. They are also appalled at Wasps moving here, and how it affects their fans, as we didnt like when our club left Coventry albeit temporarily, and yes most of us are concerned at how it will affect CCFC, but also CRFC which a lot of people such as yourself so easily forget.
You just seem to focus on the extremities like Bigfatronssba and use the most extreme analogies to try to prove some ridiculous point of order.
Oh and the initial poster was a WUM, a bit like you can be at time.
Erm yes.
If I wanted something from somebody I wouldn't send letters with a bad tone to them. I'd think how would I deal with something if I got a letter giving me crap I didn't have to reply to?

I doubt you are serious but you make me laugh!!
Looks like you never seen a complaint letter in your life in response to when you have not received an inadequate answer or even a response to your question.
What extremities?
My point was you either fundamentally disagree with franchising in rugby, in which case you must feel as strongly about Welsh & Irish as you do about Wasps.
If not, you must therefore only care about the Wasps situation because it affects Ccfc. Which would back up dongos point.
Nothing wrong with holding either of those opinions, but some arent being honest about it.
Yes i feel as passionately about the other two as well and totally disagree with franchising, but more strongly about Wasps as it affects club's from my home City, including the Rugby club, which you dont seem to know about, or is it that you just dont seem to think they are also worthy of consideration in this matter?
See, you feel more strongly about the ones that affect you.
You think I've never heard of CRFC?
I feel strongly about them all as I stated. I feel stronger about one which affects my locality, or did you feel as strongly about Portsmouth when they went into adminsitrsation as you did Coventry?
Its hardly a news shocker is it, person dislikes franchise sport but has slighter stronger feelings on franchise club that has popped up in his locality to the possible detriment of other local teams.
No I dont think you havent heard of CRFC, you just dont seem to value them as strongly as some of us, or certainly dont seem to show them the consideration they deserve in this matter.
I value CRFC and have probably been to more games than the average SBT poster, but I am not really a rugby fan.
From my point of view it is a shame for CRFC, but I am not going to pretend to be devastated.
Most people on here seem more worried about the effect on crfc than their own supporters. The Butts park arena saw their biggest crowd for 5 years this week. Most of the crfc supporters I know will go to see Wasps when it does not clash with a home game at the butts.

only because this is on the wrong board.
back on topic....Its not a good week, its an absolute shit week, we are out of the cup !!
or, in the life a of ccfc fan " a normal week"

People need to get a grip. People will go and watch things of interest. Look at all the people who clamoured for Olympic Tickets despite probably never going to an athletics meet. I have my tickets for the Wasps game on the 21st. They aren't my team I just fancy watching top flight rugby as a neutral locally. Who knows if I enjoy it I might go again and over time if I warm to them I might consider them my team. They have not in my opnion caused the ratshit situation my football team are in so I won't be joining the pitchfork wielding locals throwing rocks at the moon just yet

Macca, most people on the site accept this point about the football club.
People who disagree with Wasps being here are not all pitchfork wielding locals. I disagree on the principle of the move and on that point hope it fails, not the club, and hope they look for something back in London. I do not agree with Franchising of sports teams, and no I have never been to the Ice Hockey or followed us to MK Dons.
If that means the Ricoh fails so be it, its just a stadium, whereas other pitchfork wielding locals on the other side of the fence see the stadium as some sort of Mecca, that must have some anchor tenant.
Like SickBoy said if another top flight club moved their football team here, or say Manchester City wanted a B team and a stadium with Sky Blue Seats to play in, would you be so quick to take them on as your club?
I think it being a completely different sport holds a lot of sway in some people's thinking.
If this was a football club moving into the Ricoh there would I'm sure be so much more vitriol. Not saying it's right, just saying that's the way it is.
I agree Otis, but the genrealisation that all those against it are some sort of pitchfork wielding nutters is way off the mark.
I despair about the way football is going, and how out of touch with reality it all is from players wages, and ticket pricing, to the same old same old teams doing well in the Premier league. Added to that is the new parachute payments and soon the top league will be a closed shop, not thats of worry to us at Coventry. Then there is our sitaution, which just fills me with despair. I dont need to say anymore on that.
This has led me more towards Rugby than I have ever been before, although football still is by a way my first sport.
I have been a Northampton Saints fan, and Coventry RFC fan all my life. Northampton as I was born there, and Coventry as I grew up there, and have watched both clubs sporadically over the years, and seen one prosper and one hopefully begining to prosper.
The one thing that has made me unhappy with Rugby, is the way that clubs affectively franchise themselves freely, at the expense of their fans, and I think this is totally wrong. London Irish have done it, albeit not a huge distance, London Welsh to a worse extent, but nothing as horrific as what Wasps have now done, which I think is abhorent.
Perhasp Wasps should have followed the excellent example of Saracens who moved out of their original home, not a great distance to Watford, and then worked trirelessly to build their own stadium back where they came from......except I dont really think this is what Richardson wants. I personally think this is little about wasps and more about his personal welath crusade. I feel that in the next few years Wasps are going to get some unpleasent surprises from this gentleman.
Anyway I could go on, but I think I will stop there, I just think its wrong and look forwrad to the day in a couple of years when the fanfare has died down, and its back to crowds of 5k on a cold January sunday, that Wasps decide to try again back in their original home of London.
If a top flight football team moved into Coventry would you go and watch them too?
Is there a feeling they have stolen our home?
That's exactly how it feels to me. Like it not the Ricoh was built for us and to our design. Yes, I agree, because of the situation we ended up in there wasn't too much that made it feel like ours.
The one thing we always had was that 50% was being held for us by Higgs and at some point, maybe after SISU had gone, we would end up owning at least a share in the stadium. Wasps have come in and practically been gifted it. We've probably paid twice what they've paid just in rent! When you compare the offers from SISU, genuine or not, that were turned down and Gidneys 'you can have matchday revenues for £24m' and compare to what Wasps have paid, and remember there's every chance they will get back more than they've paid in the near future in naming rights, and they absolutely have stolen it.
I can understand CCC / Higgs / ACL not wanting anything to do with SISU but if that was the case they should have just kept hold of it until they were gone. They certainly shouldn't have sold it to London rugby club and even if you are happy with them doing that it should never have been done without a full consultation process with the people of Coventry, CCFC, CRFC etc.

Trouble is CCC represent the interests of the people of Coventry...the majority of whom care more about Man U to, Liverpool, Chelsea & Arsenal than they do CCFCSpot on. Naively I assumed CCC would stand by ccfc supporters until this period was riden out.
Maybe they lost the plot in a quest for victory v sisu or maybe I'm missing the bigger picture.
