Would it work like this?... wouldn't the points stand- Pompey would be ejected from the league not demoted a division based on points deduction?

League rules say that if a team is expelled before the start of the play-offs then their results are struck from the record; which is what I mean rather than going into admin and relegated as a result of that.
So would we get the 2 extra points that we dropped or would we lose the point we got?
Guess we would lose the point that we got. However, I suspect that other teams would lose out more.
Swindon and Notts County have played Portsmouth twice and picked up 6 points. Yeovil have 3 points from their two games.
its almost worth losing on purpose when we play them at their place, that way we wont lose points when they fold:thinking about::facepalm:
Maybe Crewe will go into administration and we'll get to Wembley
My interpretation of what I heard is that it'll only drag on & on so will have no effect on this seasons results.
What the FL have said is that a club cannot start consecutive seasons in administration. So they have up to some point before the start of next season to sort themselves out - or be expulled (is there such a word?)? Expelled? Expullificated? Exploded? Yes - I like the last one best...exploded
Does anyone else feel sorry for the Pompey fans? I couldn't imagine a scenario where that would happen here, it'd be awful!
In a word no. Will never forget that game at Highfield Rd, but I'm sure this has been covered in the god knows how many pages on the Portsmouth what on earth thread.
