All I see here is fans moaning and complaining about the lack of decent quality Pressley has brought into the club.
Pressley had a handful of games before we moved to Northampton and the mess occured.
His best players were sold to manage the books, and the wage bill has been trimmed and trimmed again, with a little more for good measure.
Whilst in the last recruitment drive or two we was destined to be playing away from the Ricoh Arena in a cow shed infront of 1500 - get more at a conference match, now why would any young or established footballer want to leave their club or a free with high aspirations want to join the circus at the time that was and still is CCFC?
Yes, Pressley has had a little bit of money, yes 34 signings, but he has cited his reasons in the past, IE he was misread the information on certain players, certain players did not fit in after the initial checks were not completed on the personnel, he has cited their was an issue with the recruitment policy in the club and was having this looked at from top to bottom.
To me this sounds like quite alot of the transfer dealings are not completed by Pressley himself, but Waggott has the upper hand, after all it is him who was / is having all the dealings with agents and ensuring deals get over the line.
For example look at what he has had to operate with, cannot afford murphy, replace with a loan, cannot afford baker, replace with a younger athletic free in JOB, Sell Wilson and Clarke within the space of 2 windows, bring in 3 loan strikers, and 3 on free transfers.
If your HD LED TV breaks at home, would you go and replace it with a bog standard TV with no HD? NO, the owners have not been bothered about the playing squad, instead spending any income on legal fees and leaving the pence left for Pressley taking him for a mug.
All we can do is speculate, but I just have a feeling Pressley is not the only sole tasked with bringing in new players at this football club....
