Already an excellent idea about trying to get the Ricoh opened up on match days and a great protest held yesterday.

We need MORE protests though. This needs to continue. No time to rest on laurels.

My suggestion is that the next protest could also involve trying to get every citizen in Coventry to wear sky blue or light blue for the day. This could then try to rally everyone, not just Coventry City supporters, but the entire population of Coventry.

At the end of the day, losing the football club and an empty Ricoh Arena affects every citizen of Coventry.

My mum is 83, never been to a game and doesn't even like football, but she loves all things Coventry. If I asked her to go shopping in town wearing a light shade of blue she would do so at the drop of a hat.

Get everyone to wear sky blue or a light shade of blue for a nominated day. Besides this, get the Trust to be down town in force giving out sky blue ribbons and encouraging people to tie them to their wrists and attach them to hand bags and buggies etc.

I'm pretty sure that people who don't even like football can see the travesty of the football club being taken out of the city.

A Sky Blue Day. Not just a march and a protest (a march can still happen too of course), but every citizen of Coventry onboard with a sea of sky blue to show that the city of Coventry wants its football club in Coventry.

Good idea. I will take part in Weymouth and get everybody i know to do the same.

Probably won't have the same impact but every little helps!

A decent idea Otis, it gives another feeling of all having the same thoughts.
My view and only mine is that we need to keep the pressure up on the FL as at present I feel they are the ones that could sort this out and then both sides would not loose face.
The FL have no bottle or back bone and we need to let them see how we feel, I think they still believe that the Coventry fans will just lie back and accept this.
I know some people (a few) will still go to Northampton but if no one went they would change there minds, they would have to. Fisher has convinced them that the majority of Coventry people are behind him, the have accepted what he has said, made a decision and closed the door.

We need to keep the momentum and pressure up, next battle has to be organised.

I think Midlands Today might cover it and if there was a sea of sky blue, hanging off every buggy and wrist and hand bag it would look impressive.

Could get shops and businesses to also have sky blue balloons attached to their windows. Also posters saying 'Keep Coventry City in Coventry' could be donned in local business windows and shopfronts too.

A day of sky blue and a show of strength of feeling.

I wonder if the city council would even let someone tie sky blue balloons to the two Godiva's for the day (the statue and the clock).

Good points. Are the football league that daft that they listen to Fisher? Have they met with other interest groups recently?

Those representatives will have given a clear statement of what is happening back in Coventry. If SISU win this I have no faith in the people who run football.

They cannot be allowed to go on. Those people who go to Northampton will kill the club. We are on our last legs and I agree that we have to try everything to demonstrate that we are here in Coventry. I think it may be a good idea to have another rally. Next week. More people will join when they realise that they would not have been alone! The Ricoh is the next venue IMO. I am not sure if there are events in the near future but so what. ACL will realise that the majority of fans want to stay in the city!

But Otis, Seppala is the one making the decision for us to move to N'ton so I see no reason why pressure should not be applied in that direction as well as others.

We need to put pressure on ALL sides.

If you just have a spotlight on Seppala it will alienate a lot of City fans.


Where is the spotlight on ACL?

How about a charity match ? AFC Coventry v Coventry United on the same day as "home" to Bristol City at the Ricoh ?
