A Test For SIsu (1 Viewer)

I keep reading that Coventry City are in financial trouble. Surely with new owners, at least in name, and debts effectively written off through liquidation the position is better than it has been. With 2,000 gates cashflow must be a problem though.

When the Sixfields ground share was agreed by the Football League it was on the basis that a return to Coventry was eventually made. New stadiums don't come cheap and the Sisu group will have to dig deep into their pockets to build one.

The transfer window closes shortly and apparently there is interest in some of the Sky Blues squad. Quite understandable given the start we have made to the season.

Keeping the squad together is going to be a lot cheaper than building a new stadium so lets see Sisu do something positive for a change, show that they really want to move the Club forwards and make up for some of their, self confessed, mistakes of the past.

Selling our best players now will only make things worse.

There is no reason to believe that the football club don't still owe 10's of millions, quite possibly 50+ million. All the debts from Coventry city holdings will still be there

If cash offers come in they will sell. As they will when they get a good enough offer the club.

i have a theory that the squad could be safe at the moment.

they have a 1 out 1 in and the new player must be on 75% less that the outgoing player embargo. this being the case, if all the active players in the squad (ie excluding the bomb squad) are now on peanuts shitsu may have realised that replacing someone who's on peanuts for someone on 75% of said peanuts wont be an easy task and maybe, just maybe a step too far even for shitsu.

its a theory anyway

If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!

The bomb squad, were the players offered new contracts by deluded.
Maybe these improved contracts were tied up in Ltd on purpose & now on brink of being null & void!
I refuse to accept KD was a complete clown!
Isn't Shef on trial somewhere?

The debts are still there as the cva was not signed.

The bulk of the debts were in Ltd.
That is how sisu managed to keep control. So most debts can not be transferred from a liquidated company. Cant have it both ways.
The club had to pay the creditors as agreed in the unsigned cva as instructed by the football league. So Acl did or will get their 500k. So not signing only resulted in the 10 pt penalty. Shambles by ccc .

Coventry city holdings owed 49.9million on the 2011 accounts. Debts are unlikely to be below that now, could easily be significantly higher.

So what your saying is that Otium haven't just transferred the debt from ltd to Otium ?

I would hope thats the case Tony. SISU surely can't blame the below expected sixfield gates if they off-load players who they are paying peanuts (I would suppose they would have Wilson in this bracket as its only this year he's become a regular). However, they would probably come up with an excuse to cash in on him and Fisher would spin his anti-logic and make it all plausable.
