Burns was the lad who was linked in Jan. Tall lad who on the face of it had had a pretty underwhelming spell at Swansea on loan... As did another of our loanees!Thought there was a thread for young Doyler but it seems to have disappeared.
Following his success as Young Player of the Year in our End of Regular Season awards, thought I'd pop over to one of the many Man City forums to gauge their opinions on his year with us.

** No idea who or how capable Burns is but there's another name for us **

I’m sorry to say about the young lad but he’s been shocking there. Not set up for success really but he’s been a liability
Yes… you
It will be where man City want him to play. I highly doubt he will be here next year unless we are promotedNo reason, given his development with us that he would not stay for another season. If he fancies Europe, will wish him well but vs being on the bench at Sunderland at the end of their league one campaign, it might be a gamble for him.
That’s not really what I ridiculed though is it?Yes… you

If they send him out on loan again it would be to a club that they know would play him.It will be where man City want him to play. I highly doubt he will be here next year unless we are promoted
A possibility but maybe a bit young to be shipped out abroad.Think he needs another season in the oven before he’s ready for the Prem. Can see that being in Europe though.

They own several clubs around Europe and let's be honest the bundesliga and potential European football is far greater than what we can offer. If they send him out on loan again it would be to a club that they know would play him.
They know we would play him and they would also like him to have more experience in the way we play. If we don't get promoted and he goes to a Championship side it would be between us and those who got relegated. Anything else would be a step backwards.
And if they gave him the choice?
Loaning players out to other clubs isn't about them proving themselves. It is all about them getting first team experience and improving. They would also prefer their younger players to learn the way they play themselves. Can’t see why Man City would send him back to us (unless we went up). He’s already proved himself here and at this level. I think they’ll want one more new test for him and then he’ll be in their own squad season after
