And also people who post on here with a double surname :wideyed:Always wary of players with double barrelled surnames.
Reckon he's been signed for the U23s@better days Any good Mark?
Cheers Mark. Good luck in getting the guys fired up for 3 points tomorrowReckon he's been signed for the U23s
We are a bit short of top quality apart from.Eccles at the moment
We seem to be getting a good record of signing young players and bringing them through in a relatively short time
What's the latest with Jack Burroughs? Has he been injured?Reckon he's been signed for the U23s

He was having to fill in at the back as the U23s were so short of defendersWhat's the latest with Jack Burroughs? Has he been injured?

It’s a balance isn’t it? If the young players aren’t good enough you plan and act don’t youThis seems a bit of a contradiction. We've signed quite a number of U23's recently so how can we be both short of quality and have a good record of signing young players.
Yes, we've had the likes of McCallum, Westbrooke and Hyam break through, but them we've got Bosma, Walters, Wakefield, Bremang, Allassani who've not looked like getting in and a fair few others who could go either way.
Last few years the academy lot haven't really stepped up either like before, although time should be on their side provided we give them time to develop.

Yep again it’s a balance. This guy looks like a potential first teamerOf course you do, but the point was that we've invested heavily in the development squad (possibly due to a dearth of talent presenting itself in the academy to make up the development squad) and most seem to not be close to making the grade. So can you really say we've got a good record of signing development players? I'd say it's been average - a few that've come good but quite a lot that haven't.
I probably expect those we sign to be a bit further on and nearer the first team than an academy scholar getting their first pro-contract, especially if a fee was paid (even if it was only a small one)
Of course you're right a few haven't worked our but they were all probably on modest deals so worth a puntThis seems a bit of a contradiction. We've signed quite a number of U23's recently so how can we be both short of quality and have a good record of signing young players.

From the little Ive seen of him Eccles looks a really good player. I’d thought he’d feature quite a bit this season. Then we got in Walsh and Ohare. If by some miracle we signed these two Id be really confident about our future, whichever division we are in.Of course you're right a few haven't worked our but they were all probably on modest deals so worth a punt
I'd include Dabo as we took a young player who was released by a top side and he's paid off brilliantly
Pask is another. We haven't seen the best of him because he had a bad injury soon after joining but he could still come good
Eccles will probably have a career from the present batch
Newton an Bilson also have a chance
Morgan Williams too and you could possibly include Drysdale in that groupOf course you're right a few haven't worked our but they were all probably on modest deals so worth a punt

Didn’t we sign a young lad who did his ACL (standard)? Possibly from Ipswich?
That’s him. Any news on his recovery?Dan Bartlett? Think he might have been from Soton.
