"Adam Barton has been given permission to look for another club after slipping down the pecking order at Coventry City."
Not surprised by this at all.

what? where you see this?
I must admit I hoped for more when we signed Adam, but it hasn't worked out I guess, I wonder if Andy Thorn will try and poach him for Kidderminster?
Better than that imo
iYeah I agree, he could easily make League One level, shame though as he had much promise.
Thought he did okay on Saturday but not been impressed before that. Hope we have a replacement though. Squad is thin enough as it is.
I like him. Obviously got quality but seems scared to get stuck in. I did put that down to the injury, but surely he's over that now?
Good luck to him, I hope he finds a nice, midtable L1 team with a passing ethos where he'll do well.
Oh wait :facepalm::facepalm:
Lol, I don't think of us as a midtable team
Had hoped for better things from him tbh. Never really been likely to be a regular starter, and up until Barnsley I don't think he could change a game.
Good luck Adam.
He's had long enough to prove himself. Always thought he has the attributes to be a very good player, just didn't work out.
He's crap, never been impressed with him. Has had about one good game in the last 18 months and that was Doncaster at home last season. I cut him some slack last season as it was his first but now it's time to get rid.
In the past we've kept crap players for far too long in the hope that they will come good.
Harsh but true. Just a dumb signing.
Bit of a Freddie Eastwood "syndrome" here - great apparent potential BUT lacks application, commitment and 100% buy in to SP and HIS footballing philosophy.
Players must by now know that SP does not suffer fools gladly and will make difficult decisions as necessary to affirm his leadership whether unpopular or not.
The Telegraph story says "we’re certainly not trying to force him out the door" and "There has never been any question about his ability or attitude".. this decision seems not to be so one sided as you suggest.
And didn't we pay for him?
Yes he was not a free transfer. Id imagine there is a player or two lined up and someone has to go off the payroll. He's a luxury player to say the least so has to go.
