I think it's just you. I think are top player's will go but we will still have a team next season albeit one that's likely to get relegated without Westwood & King Marlon.

And would you enjoy doing that? I hope you don't take everything reported so literally. And don't label a prediction as fact!

I had a mini heart attack opening that thread! I hope your not right John, just when we were all just starting to get optimistic, I think a manager will be appointed at the end of this season in order to get everything set in place over the summer to replace our out of contract players.

Off course I wouldn't enjoy the fact happening. I am very concerned by my clubs plight and I'm raising these points to see what everyone else is thinking. I am actually an optomistic person and pretty much what I have said is just info based on the press conference a few weeks ago. Anyone have any updates on the twitter?

Sorry Pigeon I should have put a heart condition warning up on the thread title lol.

There has been no news of investment, but outside of that recent story we never heard about the financial goings-on anyway, and that was clearly a PR move to keep fans onside amidst a load of speculation and fearmongering. At the moment there are few complaints so there's little damage to control.

Until you hear stories of our impending demise, I wouldn't bite your fingernails yet.

Where are these players we have for sale, they are all free or worthless

If they really have no money at the end of the season my concern is they will try to sell Clingan, Turner and anyone else they can just to keep the club running a bit longer whilst they seek investment.

I'm definitely worried! SISU said the recent investment "should" see us through till the end of the season..if we don't attract any new investment or a takeover isn't forthcoming soon can anyone really see SISU invest further? I just don't think in the current economic climate there are that many crazy investors willing to speculate on a club who effectively have no assets....they would be throwing their cash away. Bearing in mind we will have no matchday income and players and staff wages still have to be paid we really are up shite creek without a paddle. The only saleable assets won't fetch much, especially as other clubs know we're desperate and I can't see us avoiding admin past June without a miracle.

what i dont get is,when they announced we were close to adminisration they said they had paid 8 million to keep us going until the end of the season, thenin the next breath they say we are losing 4 million a season, does that mean they have not paid anyone for 2 years:thinking about:

Its a shame that some people can only discuss the future of our club with "yawn" or pointing out spelling mistakes, still there you go.

I think while John is being a little pessimistic it is still a question worth considering. I mean nothing concrete has been said either way has it. A few weeks ago we were in real trouble yet now on the back of a few reasonable results its full steam ahead for squad strengthening for next years promotion push.

I appreciate that things may be o.k behind the scenes but its not beyond the realms of possibility that Johns scenario could be true.

A few months ago all we heard were continual new stories of doom; if we were genuinely a few days away from meltdown surely a decent run of form wouldn't be enough to stop the stories getting out.

I think (believe mostly) that SISU will sell to this new consortium, including Gary H and Ray R, in June and the reasons for the delays and the lack of action is ongoing negotiations or the expectation of a bid. SISU want out, thats clear, its not what they thought it was and as a business deal its gone sour. Time to move on and let someone else who thinks they can make a business out of our club take over. Don't expect miracles though, the main goal is to still buy the Ricoh and the cash needed for that will come from not buying players over the next 1-2 seasons.

Either way, got my season ticket, will still go and see my club play week in week out, whatever muppets are in charge! Play up Sky Blues!

:D

catch 22 isn't it?

No serious squad strenghthening equals more seasons similar to the last 10 and more fans drifting away leaving us muppets who would watch them if they were on a parks pitch :D

I doubt much has changed from what was said at the press conference to introduce KD & co.

The finances will not have significantly changed, the up turn in form will have had very little effect on the finances. Perhaps crowd revenue will have been a little higher but still well short of what is needed to pay the bills. Perhaps a few more season tickets have been sold but not enough to give the club much of a cash boost - many people are holding on until they know what is happening.

Without the continued support of SISU the problems remain. If they decide they dont want to pay out more money and there is no new investor or buyer then the only option would be administration because the club cant pay its bills. Plus no income June & July

However are we at 11 days and counting ....... no i dont think so ...... but the summer could be a rocky ride.

I choose to yawn because I find dealing with facts much more interesting, especially when it comes to a story that has been re-cycled on many occasions. IF our club goes into admin then there isn't a great deal we can do now and whilst it's not factually on the cards I'm not going to depress myself over the thoughts of it.

If we had just beat Shalke 2-0 in the champions league some of our fans would still have their binoculars out looking for dark clouds. So whilst you think my yawn was inappropriate, I feel constant and I genuinely mean daily doom and gloom is getting really dull now.

If the announcement comes in 11 days then I'll hold up my hands and join the debate but for now I'll file it with "player X seen at Ricoh" coz that's an often recycled story for quiet times too.

I cannot see SISU opting for administration as they will also lose their investment. I have little doubt they want out ASAP it's whether a deal can be struck for them to go away with just enough money so as to cut their loses.

The deal for the Arena is quite a carrot for somebody. I'm optimistic that a deal can be done. If it's done quickly we could still keep King & Gunner. As for Westwood lets see if anyone actually makes an offer for a very good championship keeper but who is not of premership standard.

Not forgetting that if we do go into administration the table will look like this:

GD PTS
18 Derby -10 49
19 Palace -22 47
20 Doncaster -23 47
21 Coventry -4 43
-----------------------------
22 Sheffield Utd -31 41
23 Scunthorpe -40 41
24 Preston -26 39

With two games to play we could end up relegated, and if we stay up we could have a points deduction at the start of next season.

You're clearly a wind up merchant.

All you do is nitpick at minor spelling mistakes and give no real input into this forum ever tried discussing the team?
