only issue with that - as things get steadily better and an announcemnet is made mid season that clubs can have fans back attending - Then we might be stuckTbf if games are to be behind closed doors why do we need to pay for ground rent just use the Ryton pitch that would save us loads.
Will just have to pay the staff wages.
TBF if they’re going to start next season BCD why cancel this one?Tbf if games are to be behind closed doors why do we need to pay for ground rent just use the Ryton pitch that would save us loads.

If Sisu get us to the prem... Are they suddenly heroes?
I'd argue yes

The Germans are not even considering the idea of fan attendance till January 2021 and they have a head start – I cannot see us playing with fans earliest August next yearI don't think for a minute BCD will happen when the new season gets under way - whenever that will be. Some capacity control perhaps if this thing is still going but I doubt we are still hiding away come December time.
Worrying times got to agree with him - thats the basic theme of this threadJust had swindons chairman on talksport, long story cut short said he should be celebrating promotion but the true scenario is with out help from somewhere he doubts they will be able to start the season in league one with no income coming in, and this is coming from a well run club with a fairly decent fan base, makes you wonder where it leaves us slightly worrying listening to what was said.
Hoping they will bank roll us to keep things goingIf you read the article/interview in today's Times with the Cardiff City CEO he infers that 50% of the clubs currently in the Championship are up for sale. He quotes Derby as a club with a non sustainable business model. Leeds are the same if they don't promoted this season.
If you had money to invest in a Championship Club why would you pick Coventry. ( unless you were a City fan with about £20million to waste )
The chances of SISU giving us away is probably zero, so think we are "stuck" with them for several more years so may as well get behind them and support the team/club when we get the chance.

The situation with the stadium/council/franchise just makes it even more unlikely. If you read the article/interview in today's Times with the Cardiff City CEO he infers that 50% of the clubs currently in the Championship are up for sale. Neither is fans back in the stadium at the star o for next season.August next year? Then kiss football goodbye if you believe that. Never going to happen in a million years.
The piece below was in the mail newspaper but until a vaccine is found nobody really knowsAugust next year? Then kiss football goodbye if you believe that. Never going to happen in a million years.
I’d argue that our business model is currently somewhat more sustainable than most championship sides. Our outgoing are going to be dwarfed by most championship sidesIf you read the article/interview in today's Times with the Cardiff City CEO he infers that 50% of the clubs currently in the Championship are up for sale. No. No no no. Do you really want SISU to hang around. Just look at what they did over the years they had stewardship of the club. Liars, charlatans, disregarding city based football. Lies about stadiums etc. The revenue/ any revenue had come via sales. We needed owners to hold on or them. SISU held us back. Small crowds/ distancing themselves from the fan base.etc....no no noIf Sisu get us to the prem... Are they suddenly heroes?

I have read many articles saying TV revenue in the prem is so high they don't need fans in the stadium to cover costs as its a fraction of their overall income. The piece below was in the mail newspaper but until a vaccine is found nobody really knows
Sport could be played out in empty stadiums 'for another 18 months' until coronavirus vaccine is found, say experts, meaning financial ruin for scores of Premier League and EFL clubs reliant on matchday revenue

Lower leagues I can see this being a much bigger issue.
Not sure on other opinions but watched one of the German games yesterday and was basically not interested - The fans certainly make a difference to a game - Do not think the TV companies would attract the ongoing revenues needed - Get away with a few games behind closed doors but if it continued I think fans would disappear in drovesI have read many articles saying TV revenue in the prem is so high they don't need fans in the stadium to cover costs as its a fraction of their overall income.

They were also the council’s preferred bidder because I think the other parties wanted to buy into the stadium. Uncle Ray ‘demi god’ Ranson seemed to think this wasn’t important though. The club would have ceased to exist in 2007 if they had not taken over
Yeah dependant on where we're at .TV companies are threatened cancelled contracts unless normality resumes
There is no guarantee that TV money is going to be anywhere near what it has been .why do people think we will struggle financially
yes, we will have to cut our cloth re wages, but with the added tv money, even with no gates our revenue will be +50%
Going into a division, where many teams will be in a mess
From a footballing point of view, could work in our favour
