Played for slade at orient and he took him to Cardiff he's exactly the type of target man we need. Could a nominal fee land him from Northampton player wouldn't have to move as living in the area

Would be a good shout, but it means a fee from Northampton. :emoji_angry:
Going on 34 yrs of age don't think there would be much of a fee involved they got him for free

I'd want him but sadly I think they'll want more than we'll be willing to pay for an ageing striker.

I've looked at him a few times, only 6 months into a 2 year deal at Northampton, and as you say he's 33 now. Would it be worth a fee?

Slade actually has signed him twice... Leyton Orient and for Cardiff. Scored 19 goals in 86 games under slades leadership in league one and championship.

Alex Revel was also the man to break slades heart at Orient in the play off final scoring 2. One a 40 yarder.

Plenty of history there between them, but I can only see Northampton selling him if Page gets sacked.... and there on a poor run at the minute.

The man is slow, old and just not very good. No thanks

Throughout his career his game is not been built upon speed tho, he's a target man for someone ideally with pace to play off. A big physical threat up top, a outlet, a set piece man.
Useful with ball to feet and ability to hold up play at crucial times but more importantly worth his weight in goals and assists in any league one side. Easily a 10/12 goal a season man in this league.

We need a pacey striker to play off Beavon. Beavon and Revell would be too similar up front. An Armstrong type player is needed in my opinion

If only Jones could finish, could just put him up top with Beavon and use his pace and let Beavon bring him into the game.

Living in the area? Do you work for the FA with comments like that? ;)
