Just finished between Dublin and Kerry with Dublin winning

Never actually sat down to watch a full game of Gaelic football but surprisingly enjoyed it!

It’s good fun playing it as well - worth giving it a go if you enjoyed it.

Used to watch this and the hurling on Sundays on some programme like Transworld Sport. Was a good watch.

Transworld Sport....there's a programme I've not heard of for years.

Used to flick between that and rugrats whilst getting my football kit on, on Saturday mornings for school football weekend matches.

Great days. Learned so much about Sports like Kabbadi from that programme!

Thought I’d bump this

So my father in law passed away on the 9th of March he was a very proud Galway man , by dad passed away on Saint Patrick’s day and he was a very proud Armagh man

Both counties meet today in the All Ireland football final , hopefully they will have the best seats on the house . It’s a great game the hurling final last well was incredible

Anyway I hope Armagh win

Does anyone remember the annual Gaelic football vs Aussie Rules games?
I think they used to show them on channel 4 and were essentially a load of blokes kicking the shit out of each other for 80 or 90 mins.
There’s actually a decent Gaelic football scene in Italy with matches. I’m looking to play more regularly after the summer.

Hurling has massive sticks which are swung around your head. Gaelic football is a bit of a combo of Rugby and football…when you pass the ball with your hands you have to sort of pat it across.
My mates advice to me was, “if you get too confused, just play football. It’s frowned upon but it’s not against the rules”.
