Is that how it works or do local councils get a set amount per child?
Yes it is embarrassing what do you propose we do?
Come on start it we will follow all this hot air and nothing to show for it.
What have you done so far bar cry in your milk?
What secondary non-Academies are there in Coventry?
(Edit: apologies, state schools (that that are still about) still get LA funding for another 3 years)
Just to be devil's advocate for a moment, Bablake Junior School isn't just for children living in the immediate area of the school and every child that goes there is one that doesn't go to a state school.
The budget for each schoolchild in Coventry for 2015 was £4,862.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/educatio...is-a-postcode-lottery-head-teachers-warn.html
Let's say there are 1,000 kids at Bablake (I think it may be a little more than this) and 90% of them are from Coventry, that's £4,375,800 a year that the city is saving from it's educational budget.
I reckon you can get a lot of infrastructure upgrades for £4 million plus per year, every year.
Let's start with an outright condemnation of the Wasps move to Coventry, and every attempt by them to take over facilities that were built for (and with) CCFC.
Think we can swing that over at Trust headquarters?
The council doesn't simply get a set amount based upon the number of children enrolled on a particular date (if this is what you meant). DfE funding is based on the characteristics of the pupils and their schools and it is then (in the case of non-Academies) it is up to the council to decide how much it pays out to each school.
Because it gets you contacts. Though the small class sizes and increased budget and ability to pick and choose pupils helps too. You get roughly the same experience in a decent middle class state school (note: I wouldn't count any in Cov as that) as a private one, bar some of the extra-curricula stuff (though a lot of middle class parents pay for that anyway), the problem is you have to live close, private allows you to not have to live right next to your school.
Some people pay the money in house prices, some in fees. It's much the same.
Yeah, I do that, I boycott all forms of Rugby.Add boycotting Wasps games to that too.
Ask the Coventry Observer the same won't you.Asking the Telegraph why there is a Wasps section when there has never been a CRFC section?
The land that Sphinx (and Cov Utd) play on is owned by Rolls Royce, apparently Sphinx just rent a year at a time (happy to be corrected if anyone knows better). 3 pitches already there, and other bits of land not really used.
So who do you think was involved with the demonstrations we have mentioned that you know nothing about?Let's start with an outright condemnation of the Wasps move to Coventry, and every attempt by them to take over facilities that were built for (and with) CCFC.

It isn't just about the contacts though surely?
Would be a much better education as well? Can't get any worse than my daughter's state education
Anyway, it is a bit off topic now. Sorry
So who do you think was involved with the demonstrations we have mentioned that you know nothing about?
Also as the owners of club hold the trust and supporters in contempt it is hard to do.
The club have been offered help on numerous occations by the trust and by supporters all have been rejected.
Where do we go from here?
Who are you asking to boycott games?Add boycotting Wasps games to that too. Promoting CRFC too. Asking the Telegraph why there is a Wasps section when there has never been a CRFC section? The advertising is different, they pay for it. Can't imagine they pay for a dedicated section, because CCFC have one, I would imagine because they are the primary club in the City. Asking CWR why they broadcast Wasps games but don't CRFC? That might be because of clashing with CCFC games though granted.
Asking all, why have a London rugby club suddenly taken precedence over the cities two traditional and historic clubs?

going to depend if they move everything out or part
Biggest problem moving everything is the indoor pitch - there is no other in the area. So lock stock is realistically a no go
That leaves use of indoor pitch, a 3g pitch and at least one other pitch at AHC, plus some or all offices
They could use Ryton to play U18 & U21 matches on at weekends
They could base some age groups at Warwick uni perhaps some of the offices etc. There are well established junior clubs that could lend a hand. CSF has other sites.
SBITC tend to use various sites so could probably just reschedule (inc Warwick Uni) and use AHC less
There are potential solutions - until someone talks to the various options or each other we wont know
would love nothing more than them buying the connexions back, chucking a full size 3g in there and expanding Ryton.
Have a CCFC themed Gym in there as well.
Wont happen
Who are you asking to boycott games?
People were asked to boycott Shitfields, 2000 still went.
Approach Warwick or Cov Uni, go 50/50. 30k to build the pitch.
Another 70k to build round it.
Add the other facilities
Maybe able to do the lot 200k each. Would I do wonders for the sports science and physiotherapy reputations of both uni's

Rugby fans will go regardless as for the telegraph always did write ups and news about CRFC more disappointed they don't do the other non professional local clubs.
Who actually reads about the Wasps I know I don't.
I do however follow CRFC, most on here never gave and still don't care about them but use them to fight there battles.
Shame they never and still dont go to games when they needed local support.
I have been to more Cov rugby games then most of you ever even thought about them.
Fucking hypocrites the lot of you don't care about the Rugger never will but it helps with your bullshit.
PUSB
I've seen both sides. The majority of state education is poor, but to be hoenst, the majority of state kids are arseholes. Go to a nice school like the one in Leicestershire I've just finished at, or where my wife works now in Warwick, and you'd hardly notice the difference outside of the bottom sets in terms of quality of work in the classroom.
The better education comes form having more motivated kids, being able to kick them out at will, better funding, more motivated parents and smaller class sizes. Though having said that I've seen some fucking shocking practice at private schools that would get shut down in minutes in a state school. I remember we had one teacher come from private (both as a student and teacher) and was shocked when we told her she couldn't help the kids during their exam ("Oh, we always cheated at Henry's"). Cheating is rife as the parents pay for the grades and don't expect to hear "No". That said, until fairly recently cheating was becoming rife in state schools as well as there was so much pressure for results.
Kids is kids. Teachers is teachers. They all come from the same place originally, there's no special sauce because it's private.
Does anyone independent go into every school to check the correct procedures are being followed? There is no cheating at exams. They are all conducting in the same way.
Does anyone independent go into every school to check the correct procedures are being followed?
Assuming that Wasps do indeed takeover the Allard Way site, where could the Academy realistically move? Warwick University? Highway? Or even Kilsby Lane in Rugby?
Does anyone independent go into every school to check the correct procedures are being followed?
