Just before the march I see.

Convenient or could not be the unthinkable and she announces the club return home?

Funny how everyone now wants to talk now there's a march on tomorrow isn't it.

And to think some said that the march was a waste of time.

It's not at all.

Once everyone's out at the March, Sisu are going to break into all City fans' homes and steal money in order to try and raise the £590,000 to pay ACL.

That money is already lodged in a secure 'Escrow' account, do try and keep up.

we will then take them to court, they'd love that :)

Didn't hear it, but from random on Twitter:

Yes I heard it. She said she is hoping there could be a deal but ACL and SISU need to start talking.

Cov Council leader Ann Lucas says she hopes any temporary return to the Ricoh by the Sky Blues would become permanent.

Lets hope the statement yesterday starts that!

Hate to be a Debbie Downer. But why would it? What has changed from Sisu's point of view? They still want access to revenue ACL can't/won't give over. They still won't return on a temp deal, no matter how good it is for the club, without that.

If you can point me to the chink of light in yesterday's statements I'd be grateful, all I can see is more of the same.

I know what you mean Debbie but it's the first time in years I have seen a positive statement from sisu. Since this saga began this is the first time they have backed down with no silly comments.

Something has changed and my best guess would be that the figures don't add up at sixfields and I know they never did but now they have no chance of getting it via court then staying at sixfields makes no financial sense. Legal advisors must be encouraging them the same. They don't get about looking stupid standing down they would rather the best deal for sisu and that's Ricoh council or not.

Ann is quoted as saying "is this is indeed an outstretched hand from sisu then I am going to grab it with both hands for the people of Coventry"

I feel like I'm kicking puppies here, I geniunely want this to be a change of tact form Sisu.

However, it's not the first time in years you've seen a positive statement. The previous ones from Joy and Igwe are on other threads today.

In fact, if anything, it's less conciliatory and less positive than those statements.

It's still "Coventry community" not "Coventry".

It's still demanding revenues that they've always demanded.

It's still claiming Northampton was a valid choice.

And most importantly, it's to us, the fans, just before our march. Not to ACL. Not to CCC. Not even to the FL. By all accounts they haven't actually backed it up with contact to those who can get things moving.

Like I say, I hope I'm wrong and this is the start of something. But the timing and the wording are off for me if it was going to be that. Seems like another in a long line of efforts to paint ACL as the bad guys and them as the reasonable party.

Prove me wrong Joy. Prove me wrong.
