Since relegation from the Premiership supporting the club has been fairly miserable. The whole championship experience was dire. Last season, from a home game perspective was dire.

Now, however, we have a real team. The best youth development since Dave Sexton and yet......

People gloat over a poll that for 70% of fans returning to Coventry is not the number one priority.

People declare they want ACL and the council to have a fair deal.

People are not angry ACL and the council are denying the club a play off place. There is almost rejoicing we are 10 points worse off and disappointment we are not relegation fodder.

Surely only one thing matters. Watching what seems a geniunely exciting team playing in Coventry. Whatever people want - wanting the team in Coventry is all that matters - surely.

I couldn't agree more. Playing in Coventry is all that matters to me, whatever it takes.

What do you want Grendel? The Council to gift the Ricoh to our owners? ACL to give up all interest in the stadium for free?

Because that is what will take.

That's not realistic but I wouldn't complain if they did.

The club is nothing if not in Coventry

The Ricoh (or Citty of Coventry Stadium when it loses a naming sponsor) is nothing without the team. Concerts, exhibitions or not, in time it will fail without the club.

Whatever it takes its a no brainer...they need each other.

Nice 1 Grendull. Your own utter shite thread starter.

The majority of fans don't trust SISU to have the Ricoh and also can see that they are not willing to pay a proper price for it so they don't want the club to come back to Coventry? If this was the case as you preach why are the vast majority of fans not going?

With respect Mr Calvert nee Fisher, the reason the Championship was dire was due to the poor management of the club, there were many opportunities for this to be a realistic campaign, but as joy has stated she took her eyes of the ball for 4.5 years (feeble excuse really). There should be no blame on ACL as they were just your the landlords. It was not the Council, AEHC or ACL who screwed our club over, it was the pitiful management tactics of Mr Fisher, which back fired. The Council do not influence ACL they have two shareholder representatives on the ACL Board as does AEHC, the only influence CCC has is there ability to extend the lease or sell the freehold, the latter will never happen. There is a deal to be done, but not a freehold sale or full ownership, so if SISU want to play in Cov then negotiate a rent with revenue deal. As for Tuesday, its a choice that people make, however its worth noting its been instigated by Labovitch, the questions are all pre-loaded so all Cov fans be aware.

OK lets gift the Ricoh together with ACL and all income streams to Shitzu. What do you think they would do with it?

Most people I speak to totally agree with that, it's only on here that you get the bizarre cheerleading for a stadium management company.

Sisu's failure as our owners is why we are not in Coventry. The buck stops with them after 5+ years.

Screw the politics, Coventry in Coventry or Coventry in Northampton, i would hazard a guess that the majority would settle for Coventry in Coventry.

They say every dog has his day... Surely nobody can blame Grendel for seizing on this moment as the pedulum finally swings in his favour? Opinion is shifting and he can't be blamed for a 'I told you so' moment. I suggested back in February that we should be protesting outside the council house and was roundly mocked for it! I have had a few spats with the OP but, as I've said to him, those have mostly been about manner rather than content. It is time for a new approach.

If that's what it takes of course - if the only alternative is not seeing the club at home this season. Why do you have any interest in the stadium at all?

You have no case. So let's persue this -- CCFC in Coventry means the destruction of ACL or CCFC in Northampton for 3 years -- what's your poison?

How many more ways can we regurgitate the same crap.
We can't influence anything as fans.
SISU have risked everything on ACL giving in to their business practices. I fear the worst.

The answer is in the question, if you look deep enough into what instigated the Tuesday campaign you will see. Labo has been talking with Mr Reid, having private meetings with a number of parties, and continues to argue the debt restructuring, which scuppered SISU's plan. The source is 100%, just worth knowing the facts.

No the choice is Sisu vs the City of Coventry.

I support Coventry.
What amazes me with some on here is a preference for a Cayman/Mayfair fly by night hedge fund over our city...

Grendel you a right annoyance is growing--with the people who keep posting this same clap trap. There
are already more pages on this rubbish than there are pages in the Bible.

Surrender is something the ENGLISH do not do, Hitler tried BULLY BOY tactics and got his backside kicked,
and sisu have tried the same tactic and are getting the same treatment.

For all of you dim enough to support sisu being given the Ricoh for peanut's let me remind you of
Seppala's own statement---CCFC would NOT OWN the Stadia sisu would and we WOULD CHARGE RENT
for CCFC to PLAY THERE, this would give our investors a return on their money. No mention of investment in the team, just how much money she could make for the idiot's that invest in sisu.

We and I hope that includes ACL/CCC will not NOT SURRENDER.

It took pressure from the FA to get the Academy back at the Higgs Centre, a facility that was effectively built for them, with the necessary features to get Category 2 status. It was SISU that moved us out of there by not paying the bills.

I'm unhappy that we're not in a better position in the league but what kicked off this whole sorry affair was we didn't pay the rent and didn't seriously negotiate before embarking on the rent boycott. We wouldn't have lost points last season or this if they'd negotiated first and Fisher had kept his trap shut.

I'd love to see the team playing back in Coventry nothing apart from promotion or the departure of SISU would make me happier in terms of football. However I can't see that happening until the new stadium is built as Joy won't go back to the Ricoh to rent, and wants the freehold. ACL have a lease and therefore even if they did give her the freehold she would still have to rent from ACL, as apparently the freehold makes no money for the owner.

Its simple, my Club in Coventry is what is right and proper. However my Club losing £3m p.a playing in Northampton is plain stupid in anyones language. Despite the SISU spin ACL do not lose money and this will continue with or without the club, although I would prefer this not to be the case. Unlike SISU ACL have not required any injection of cash from either shareholder, and their business is in good shape. If SISU believe they can starve ACL out, they will have to wait a long time, although that will not help our beloved Sky Blues.

I am finding myself at a loss to understand Shitzu's current demands. They say that they want the Ricoh freehold at their valuation (free) BUT what will that give them? There is a lease to ACL in existence for ??? So no income apart from their rent. Can someone please explain their reasoning?
