One of my radiators won't warm up. It's not even getting warm at the bottom.
I've bled everywhere, re pressured.
The valve is set to 5.
Any ideas?
At least two months too early for heating! Bloke must be mintedRich man can afford to put the heating on.
Have you checked the other side to the valve is open

Probably the last radiator on the system, might be worth turning some of the other valves back a little bit more. I crank them back until they’re almost turned off, you’ll know if you’ve gone too far because it will start cooling down so just open it a smidge more.Cheers.
Yeah all bled and messed around with the balance from the kitchen one back. Seems better now.
It's not coming on until it's very very cold though.

I'd recommend getting to the hospital pretty sharpish. One of my radiators won't warm up. It's not even getting warm at the bottom.

Can believe I’m the first to say this, but have you tried two footing it to let it know you’re there?
When i had my house in England i had the same problem as Nick, tried all the above so ended up calling in an engineer.Glad Nick got sorted.
Had ours on for a couple of hours last week as was told to do this every couple of months to stop "sludge" building up? Does that sound right?
Even if you're not having problems at the moment, it does not mean "sludge" is not starting to build up, so please check them out and hopefully you will save some money. When i had my house in England i had the same problem as Nick, tried all the above so ended up calling in an engineer.
Real old guy turned up and knew his stuff. He said the same as you about "sludge"
He told me to turn everything on about an hour before he was due to arrive, first thing he did was disconnect one and took it outside,
shit loads of crap came out of it. He flushed it through and refitted it, worked brilliantly.
He asked if i knew how to do what he had done (to save me money) i said yes so he went away having been paid very happy to have helped.
I then repeated this on all of mine and not only did they work better my electricity bill came down.
The reason i am posting this, is with the cost of electricity at the moment, maybe you should all check and clean yours.
Like i said my electricity bill came down with the house being warmer due to the radiators working as they should.
