Anyone else NOT nervous about tonight? (2 Viewers)

I am just in a state of mind of whatever will be will be.

If Bristol beat Wet Spam then they deserve to stay up. That would have them unbeaten in 6, with 3 of those being wins, so fair play to them if they can turn it on when it really matters..

Pretty chilled out about tonight. All we can do is go out there and try and win the game. The rest is out of our hands.

The one thing I will say though is if Bristol are winning by a couple of goals and we are losing badly then I will be leaving a couple of minutes before the end of the game to avoid that moment of realisation we are down and the inevitable pin drop moment.

Just couldn't face it. If I am to cry into my beer then I would rather do it at home and not be part of 16,000 glum and despondent faces exiting the Ricoh and with it, the Championship.

Let's just go out there and try our best. That's all we can ask.

'Fear the worst, hope for the best.' That's today's motto!!

Never nervous before a game. If we play like we did against Burnley won't be during the game either.

I think you're right that if Bristol win they deserve to stay up. They beat us and Forest back to back as well. 2 huge wins when it really counted.

Our form with the exception of Bristol City away is also great for a side in the bottom three, but the injuries and the replacements for them shows up how hard it's going to be to get the points required. It would have only taken a couple more players for us to have a great shot at survival. As it is, we're hoping for miracles.

I'm not nervous anymore. I've accepted out fate and if we do stay up it'll be even sweeter. I more feel sorry for AT and the majority of the players. I genuinely believe that they've given it everything and had to work in awful circumstances all season. They've just come up short of being good enough.

I am attending with Maik Taylor's wife and Brother in Law tonight.....i have asked that he drops a couple in his own net (did say at our players feet, but didn't want to risk a scoop over the bar!). I am very nervous, but i do fancy a lucky win by the odd goal coupled with a heavy brizzle defeat. :D

No nerves tonight, we are up against it, have no fit players to choose and are reliant on patched up players and youth team graduates. Plus we need other results to go for us.

I'm with you Otis. I'm surprised how relaxed I am about tonight. I am just completely resigned to us going down now. If we win and Bristol lose however i will be back to being a complete nervous wreck on Saturday.

A tiny squad of reasonable players supported by some promising but ultimately out of their depth kids have dragged themselves to the wall and back since Christmas when to be honest I already thought we were down.

Sadly we couldnt stop the home sides getting the points at the two big games in the run in at Forest and Bristol and the sheer effort these players have put in on this run has now taken its toll with bodies breaking down.

I never normally back the opposition but I have a nasty feeling we will get turned over tonight and be relegated by a doncaster side desperate to take someone with them and ease their own fans pain.

Bristol away wiped me out.

The players seemed to be on their last fumes.

The supporters had had their emotions toyed with again.

I think a lot of people will expect us to go down regardless of our results to be honest. I personally can see 4 points between now and the end of the season. If we got the six Brizzle only need one win in the 4 they have and that'll most likely come against Barnsley.

Joe Murphy is right it'll be a miracle if it does happen but with the patched up squad on it's last dying legs of effort it's not going to happen imo. So not nerves as such just the familiar expectation of coming up short that this season has bought.

It's a shame as I genuinely think with 2 or 3 extra players of similar quality to what we have and we'd have stayed up.

I am nervous wreck . Experienced from 85, 86,77,97,08 and probably loads more - and whilst we are rotten as a club, what we do know is
a) How to win the first game of the season
b) How to win on boxing day
c) How to win on Legends day
d) How to survive a relegation battle

Check the stats on a-c , as regards d :-

85 won last 3 to stay up
86 QPR last day
?? when mick ferguson scored while on loan from bham to send bham down, and Rober rosarion header rolled along the line into perry sucklings arms
77 Bristol city
97 Spurs
08 Charlton

and these are only a few at the front of my mind

Nervous, but something it me still says we will do it,

I'm so relaxed I may even take a deckchair and straw hat with me tonight so I can just chill out and let it all wash over me!

Do they sell cocktails at the food outlets anyone know?

The one thing I would say is, that what we don't need tonight is fans getting on the team's back if things start to go wrong.

100% backing tonight for the team and manager for 90 mins.:D

Well 88 mins, cos I might have left by then.

Not nervous no.

Kind of just want it over and done one way or another to be honest. Have all but had my fill of the mess called CCFC for now. I think this has been one of the toughest ever seasons to be a Sky Blue fan. Together with the young lads who have played their hearts out for the team it is the fans (especially away from home) that leave me with some pride from this season.

I couldn't sleep, woke up in the middle of the night and watched a parody of the skyblues on youtube which basically blooming ruined my head more. I just don't feel confident and Bristols form means 1 win from them and we're virtually screwed anyway, oh well :welcome: to insomnia

For some reason I don't feel nervous. I think I may have already accepted our fate. Although I do think we will lose tonight. Millwall are a decent side in good form. But I don't think Bristol will beat hammers. So I think our fate is safe for another week. Fingers crossed though

Nervous, but something it me still says we will do it,

92 at Villa (lost 2-0)
96 home to Leeds (drew 0-0)
01 home to Bradford. Oh shit we went down that time.

If only we could put out something near our best team then I would say we are still in with a shout. I'm hoping that all these young inexperienced men can do the job of hardened professionals. Big hope though me thinks!!

Even I was young when we were last in the third tear of English football. I can hear my dad turning in his grave!

No nerves whatsoever - I'll be hiring a deckchair to join Otis for a couple of cocktails while the match unfolds.

The only difference is that I'll definitely stay to the final whistle - then and as always I'll :claping hands: the players, win lose or draw. PUSB.

Actually I'm quite chilled about tonight. I think I would be more nervous if we had a full strength team. I think a team made up of walking wounded can't really be expected to overcome a Millwall team, who quite honestly, aren't that bad. For once, my tiny brain expects us to get a draw at best, though I'm obviously hoping for a resounding victory.

Great if Bristol lose, but knowing them...

Wellt that's a very good point. Don't think now with the kids and the injuries that anyone expects us to win, so in some ways the pressure is off the team. Fans know what a tough ask it is.

Only hope is that we can somehow get through this game with a victory and then players are fit again for the last two games.

It's an amazing situation though isn't it.

Bristol win and we lose and that's it for us.

We win and Bristol lose and it's down to one single point and very much on for survival.

No doubt the reality will be somewhere in the middle and we'll be left hanging on.
