The past few weeks in search for a new manager has been a farce... 3 and half weeks its dragged on for and the club havent't picked up a point since... speaks volumes.
Going by the fact betting has closed I would say an appointment is imminentYep. We are just throwing points away at present. There's no motivation whatsoever.
The dressing room needs a shake-up. Shaw can't do it because he is staying at the club as no.2 - so needs to keep on the players' side really.
Does anyone have any indication of when they will finally announce our new Manager?; aside from the predictable 'Cov Telegraph Thursday'

Let's hope so; and let's hope it's Robins.
Knowing our club it will probably be Shaw.

Too right Rich, 3 weeks is too long. I was not a Thorn fan but the fact they had no-one in mind made the decision to sack him ludicrous. I hope the new man is in the stands tonight (Players know he there) and make a big big impression for him.
Agreed. If they felt so strongly after the Bury game, they should have hauled Thorn over the coals and told him he had four games to save his career. But to sack him on the spot and leave us rudderless for 4 games now - 3 of which have been losses already - is simply, well to use Grenduffy's term of choice 'clueless'
And who's ever present, including to date?
Its a no win choice to be honest. I couldn't dream up a more below par shortlist but that's Coventry at this current time.
When Robins took over Rotherham they were 13 points from safety and in the 12 games he was in charge he managed to close the gap to safety to..... 13 points.
With the same group of players as the previous manager he couldn't get anything extra out of them. He only had a better time after they were relegated and then got Le Fondre and Law.
Hes a below average appointment for a below average team. Are you all honestly happy with this?
Murphy's been ever present.
Change the record.
It is where we are as a club, we are a league 1 club with an ok squad. Have no prospect of investment and don't own our ground. We also have very poor owners and fans who will get on your back immediately. Its a no win choice to be honest. I couldn't dream up a more below par shortlist but that's Coventry at this current time.

I do think that after all this endeavour, 70 applications etc, to end up with what is effectively quite a poor last two (No Wise in sight) this decision could have been made so much quicker. Neither of these candidates, Ince or Robins, really are what we need, it is more what we can afford and what we can get.
I foolishly, gave SISU some credit that they were going out there to pick the right man, but now it would seem it really is just down to who is the best of a really quite bad bunch.
Neither Ince or Robins will turn this around ... I hope I am proved wrong, but just don't see it.
i want money then robins.
Well whoever it is i hope there tonight... The Waggott and Fisher comedy act continues... Pair of clowns for the circus that is SISU
The only reason people really want Wise is because of his 13 game period as a player here with is a stupid reason. Read up about hiis managerial career, listen to what some fans of his old clubs that had him as manager say about him, read some character testimonies and then come back and if you still think he's a better choice than Robins we'll get you sectioned.
IF it is Robins, it is probably the best we could've hoped for considering our clubs newly acquired stature and our lack of money to get someone currently in employment.

These people are the best we can attract or afford. Now all the deluded people calling for Mccarthy and Davies may finally realise where we are
Average at the moment is the best we can do
There wasn't a guy in the frame without a question mark on his CV...
The 'big time Charlie' managers aren't interested unless they get a big transfer fund to work with and their own back room staff....plus we can't afford their wages anyway.
I don't understand what our fans expect? We are at the bottom of L1 & we have no money. Hardly an attractive proposition is it?
All those moaning need a reality check:
We are lucky that people of the stature of Ince/Blackwell/Robins want to be considered.
Sounds shit? That's cause it is.

I want money before accepting Money.
