Went to this one 28 years ago. It was to be Don Mackay's last game in charge. Liverpool were chasing for the title we were in the relegation mix. It was 5-0 after about 60 minutes. The liverpool team encouraged by the crowd decided then to play keep ball and the crowd were enjoying themselves but also laughing at us fans and the players. Quite a low point in my time supporting the club.

I fear today could be very similar. Even if I was to lower my principles and go today I would find it very difficult to be sitting in the Cov end with their thousands of fans singing and celebrating whilst the sixfielders empty their flasks.

Hope we win today but don't think we will. After Don Mackay was sacked George & John were appointed and the rest is history. So today could be the beginning of the end with a new bright future next season
