Are the fans of this club part of the problem?

It saddens me that the majority of our fans are taking the piss out of all of those that protested yesterday.

As i was stood in the protest i heard 1 guy shout ''Your all pathetic''

And after the game some guy mouthed ''Twats'' as he walked past! I actually tried to challenge him by asking what he suggested we did to improve the way the club was being run. But he ran into the casino.

Im feeling very fed up and angry about the way our fans are acting,and it makes me wonder wether the fans deserve to have a well run football club at all??

you cant have 10k fans and not have different opinions on how the club is run..

Last time i was at the Ricoh, guy behind me was saying Juke was a waste of space !, its football, everyone has an opinion on everything !

Years of nothingness has resulted in fans turning on each other, whilst i dont agree with it, i cant blame peeople being annoyed or frustrated, and its easy to see why we take it out on each other !

It went the other way on Twitter yesterday with some who chose to protest slagging off fans who had chosen not to. We're all entitled to our own opinion, and at the end of the day I'd like to think we all want the same thing. Just hope we stop turning on each other

most feel apathy towards the club and just go through the motions, i admire the few that protested, didnt go yesterday as had other commitments but will be joining in.

I have always found supporters puzzling. Despite one rather odd individual stating I rubbished the protest yesterday that I did not. The original concept was a boycott and I missed the first home match for 5 years. Truth is there is apathy all round. Apathy to attend except big games (other towns like Sheffield, Nottingham, Norwich have much more of a buzz about them), apathy to protest and apathy to support. We are a big city but attract attendances of towns like Barnsley, Preston etc. So in that respect we do deserve what we get. Never understood it and never will.
SISU protests will not work as it requires support on a large scale and people will not be bothered. Why people bothered to abuse you honestly I cannot answer but it says it all.

Some people have an issue with the fact that you are demanding SISU out but not offering any alternative, I'm kind of in the middle. Want SISU out but we need another option. Plus the "family friendly" nature of the protests just seem to cringeworthy for me to consider taking part.

No history no tradition and nothing to get excited about in 40 odd years apart from one season. Lots of people came into the city from elsewhere for car building and had no allegience or affiliation with the club. Its habit forming and nothing for kids to get the bug. Seems a shame but I think we always be a club with ambitions and expectations of achievement and fanbase above reality.

A bit more passion at the protest wouldn't have gone a miss, check the video above not everyone's cup of tea but it did the job. In all honesty if i was on the board on behalf of SISU and yesterday's protest was a measure of how angry the fans were i would be laughing the whole way back to the cayman islands with your money in my back pocket.

You presume the moral high ground and with respect such attitude invokes resentment to those who do not share your view - such as you experienced yesterday.

You demand SISU out yet offer no credible alternative. The protestors cite Hoffman as a saviour, yet we know nothing of the bid (if there is one at all).

In the absence of a credible and real alternative, many fans prefer to stick with SISU than see the club go into administration.

We are just as committed to our club as you. We are not 2nd class fans. we are just as entitled to our opinions and views as you are - we just do not ram ours down your throats with protests. We will not be made to feel in some way "unfaithful" to our club just because we do not share your views. I too sensed yesterday many fans running out of patience with the protests - and I was sat with the 8,000 or so in the ground not the 100 or so outside.

Well there were only a few at the protest yesterday so obviously the majority must have other views. I protested then went home. Wished id have just stayed at home to be honest. The protest itself was half an hour of toe curling, cringeworthy embarrasment. I don't know what I was expecting, but came away thinking, "what was the point of that". Has anyone got any ideas what it did achieve?

They may have the worst song book in the Football League but at least they know how to protest ffs.

I have to agree with what you say on this and at yesterdays protest as people walked on by making brainless comments I thought you deserve the club you are getting at the moment. I have to say they make me sick with their apathy

My point on apathy is if you want real success then there has to be support for the action on a large scale. A sit in seems obvious to me where all supporters refuse to leave for 3 hours after the game. I'd do that but it needs thousands to make it work and there is not the pull from the majority.

There were multiple interviews with the press and the coffin will no doubt make some headlines for one I guess..

A-ga doo! Haha brilliant, the support of this club can be cringeworthy sometimes, we're turning into a right boring family club. The only thing that could make it worse is if the few protesters stationed themselves either side of the statue and started that pantomine "We're the right side over here" chant

I think I physically just cringed reading that! I'm glad it hasn't been given much media coverage, we'd be a laughing stock! Even Villa's pikey protest against Mcleish was more dignified (only just).

Did you not see the palace video above or perhaps check the Pompey protest on YouTube, i can tell you now their is not one bit of trouble from police or steward presence in either of them videos.

Yes I would have been happy if it had been more higher tempo but the majority protesting were middle aged why aint the younger lads joining

I don't get it,i really don't. I'm not looking for an argument my point is for me the protest was there for SISU to get an earful to think for one minute hold on these guys and girls are not going to be taken for mugs they mean business, instead it turned into jump to the front of the cue i wan't to be in the telegraph Monday morning. At times i questioned if half the people really new why they were there, stopping for a quick natter with Geoff Foster or a bit of memorabilia a picture with Graeme Hawley all seemed a bit soft, that said the news is that the next campaign is too fill the away and at Reading as a part of the back or club campaign then count me in.

If i was part of any takeover, the total apathy of the majority of the fans would worry me greatly. Most don't sing or shout for the team, most just sit there all match moaning about every player on the pitch,and thats what they want from there match day experience.
I bet anyone who is interested in taking over us is now thinking twice about it, absolutely no passion at all for their club, nothing at all.They must be thinking why are'nt the fans fighting more for their club, when it is at is lowest point in it's history.Is there enough passionate support for me to put money into this club.
The protesters should be commended for there efforts, they at least are doing something, and i am positive as the campain grows, it will make a big diffreence.Get behind them, join them and fight for our club.
Listening to fans from other teams who visit us, they put us nearly always at the bottom for atmosphere,singing,chanting ,and it happens year in year out. I could kick some supporters up the arse, why spend your hard earnt money to sit there moaning about every player, why don't they try to sing, or shout or chant encouragement, but they don't for reasons i do not know why.

Totally agree with you Dan...told a few season ticket holder mates I was protesting and they asked why? Told them it was because I felt SISU were destroying our club and they asked who was this SISU guy?! I think a lot of the apathy is down to many fans not actually having a clue about what's going on...Those people mocking others that are trying to do something deserve the club we will get...Bury your heads all you want but don't complain when we have no club to support at all.
