Are we concentrating on the wrong agenda (3 Viewers)

As important as our academy is, surely our ground situation is more so. As we currently stand we have 2 years left there. Then what ? Loads on here jumping up and down re the academy issue, Trust trying to get dialogue under way on it but the ground issue surely is the most important. Back in my old TU days when we went into negotiation with management, especially serious issues we were always wary of distractions to the most important issue, attempts to deflect things and have too many issues boiling away in the pot and to me this is what the academy issue has become. Our ground situation is so dangerous to the life of our football club much more so than an academy, that can be re-kindled one day but a ground ?. We need constant headlines re this issue starting now, the more noise we make the harder it becomes for sisu, wasps, Higgs, ccc and others to ignore and getting some sort of closure on the ground I think will help the academy situation.

I think SISU are so keen to sort the Academy situation because it means the players than come through can help balance the CCFC books when sold on.

If we loose the academy it'd be hands in the pocket time for SISU, rather than the 'sustainable model' they want the club to work under.

That might be so, but the academy is seemingly taking the heat away from where we are going to be playing 2,years from now. It's my belief Chris Anderson has pushed the academy issue into the fore ground, to muddy the pond a bit and deflect the much more important issue where we play in 2 years time.

Anderson wasn't the one who broke of talks about remaining in Coventry.

Wasps are refusing to discuss and unless that stance changes we will be forced out.

Yep, fair point.

However no need to worry, they've got it all under control - well be playing from the Butts, no sorry the new out of city stadium with all the mod cons and combined training facility - no I mean, hopefully still out of the Ricoh.

Like I said - no need to worry, they got this covered!

Like you give a fuck if the club ceases to exist,

I know the reasons Wasps gave for negotiations to continue as well as you do, what I am saying is the more noise made about it on here and other outlets the more likely hood of a happier ending

We have 2 years left at the Ricoh, the academy has 1 year left at the higgs centre. Wasps have got a planning application in, CSF have served notice on the academy.

It stands to reason that the academy situation is the most pressing issue at this specific point in time.

Why can't they both be pressed now?

What have Seppala, Anderson and Armstrong said in reply to your email by the way?

I told you 2 weeks ago I didn't email them about the stadium because of the academy situation.

No one said they can't, we're saying we can see why the Trust are focussing on the academy and why that at this moment in time is being seen as thr priority.

Out of interest what have you done?

And as I asked two weeks ago why can't you contact them about both matters?

I've supplied you with the email addresses you requested, but you've failed to see through your end of the bargain.

No I didn't fail to see my end of the bargain, you said email them about the stadium, the academy situation blew up so I've put the email on hold.

So what have you done?

What have you done?

Any particular reason you're refusing to answer my question?

You'd been prepared (apparently) to contact them re one subject matter, but can't about two.

Maybe being provided with the email addresses threw you and now you're stalling apparently based on the fact there are now two matters at hand.

The fact the same people are involved in both matters proves the perfect opportunity for both issues to be raised.

Considering you're so keen for the matters to be resolved you're quick enough to not contact those who are able to move them forward.

Good work, no seriously good work!

I have my reasons.

You haven't answered mine either, and I've now asked you 6-7 time over the last 2 weeks. You're happy to point fingers and me, but what have you done? Those in glass houses and all that.

Technically the academy is the future of the club which has generated revenue and decent players for us for a number of years, this has to be a priority for a club like us. Whether we like it or not we can play anywhere.

Yes, you have asked six/seven times, but only to try and deflect from offering a reply to my question, which for clarification is "Why not email them about both matters?".

As I've indicated, I don't think for a second you believed I'd post the three email addresses you requested and you've now been left floundering having been provided with them.

You clearly had/have absolutely no intention of making contact with them and the repeated "Yeah, but what have you done?" line you've presented demonstrates this obvious deflection and a lack of willingness from you to actually get hands on.

However, in reply to question, what have I do, well......

I've highlighted -

1) Your inability to debate (is Les Reid holding night classes?)

2) Despite all your rhetoric, you're not actually doing anything constructive regarding the matters at hand (are SISU holding night classes?)

OK, your turn - why haven't you contacted Seppala, Anderson and Armstrong regarding the Ricoh >>and<< Higgs situations?

Let's give it another try.....

Oh the irony. So what have you done other than going all keyboard warrior on me?

And I have answered. I didn't email about the Ricoh because of the academy issue. Personally I don't want to email them about both as it gets diluted, plus you'd then have to include CSF (they run the fucking higgs centre) and probably also CCC, both of whom have (or should have) absolutely nothing to do with Ricoh.

So again. What have you done given you're trying to be all high and mighty about this?

And still no answer.

You also might want to do a quick Google on what keyboard warrior means.

Why haven't you contacted Seppala, Anderson and Armstrong regarding the situation at Ricoh and Higgs?

Can I respectfully suggest armybike and stupot07 piss off and have their personal spat elsewhere please.
If you look back at the thread, he started it (again).

I was genuinely trying to contribute with my initial post.

To be fair bashing his head against a brick wall is likely to be more productive.

In my mind this is how I imagine the negotiations for the Ricoh went between the club and Wasps
Exactly, you bring in the academy issue you then have to then include CSF and possibly CCC into the emails, of which half of it (Ricoh) gas nothing to do with them.

No problem, here's the relevant email addresses -

CCC Planning officer for Higgs application - [email protected]

Coventry Sports Foundation CEO Paul Breed - [email protected]
