We were 13th in the Fair Play table last season and had the 9th highest number of yellow cards, no idea where this "we're too nice" stuff comes from.
Yes I have, my comments were in relation to the comments in this thread that suggested we've been too nice for years / under Robins.Read the OP?

The OP doesn't really support any conclusion that being nice has a particularly good or bad impact on league performance.

There's a joke about DMs and "sliding in" in there somewhereYeah I generally am quite proud were not shithouses. Though I do feel Gus was more willing to take a yellow (not always for the right reasons granted) and our current DMs seem reluctant to.
Currently doing some statistics based course. Finding the key correlation factors to a high position in table would be most useful. Hopefully Mark becomes a fine statistician soon. Not gone so well for Sheffield Wednesday.
No correlation with league table, so not convinced it makes any difference.

Yes but Gus had about 10 by November on his own last season including 2 reds.We were 13th in the Fair Play table last season and had the 9th highest number of yellow cards, no idea where this "we're too nice" stuff comes from.
Last season or the season before?Yes but Gus had about 10 by November on his own last season including 2 reds.
There's times when we need to play the "dark arts".
Holding onto leads, getting decisions to go our way etc.
We have played against players on a yellow who have then made about 5 more fouls. We don't ever try to wind them up
Kyle Walker-Peters the other night. Booked after half an hour and we left him alone afterwards.
He still should have been sent off about three times.
Thomas and Kitching look fucking hard enough for me tbh
Loved the shit he gave the Leeds striker for that dive in the 1st half. Can’t fault the defensive signings during the close season.Kitching is going to be the next Club Captain.
He got a yellow todayYes but Gus had about 10 by November on his own last season including 2 reds.
Yep, always have been under Robins.
Even Adi has calmed down since they've banned staff on the touchline.
There's no one in the side currently I'd want alongside me in a tear up at the pub. We'd be turfed out instantly.
Kitching loves it - speaks really softly but well up for it on pitch. Stands up to anyone.
trouble with Micky Doyle was sometimes he was too obvious with it, slapping players on back etc. left a foot in once on zoltan gera and he got sent off.
He wouldn’t survive with var. most of it done very discreetlyDisagree on Doyle. I actually thought he knew how far to push it and that the West Brom cup game you refer to was actually an exception. Other than that game I don't remember him ever being sent off for us, which was not too bad in well over 300 games.
Kitching is a double hard bastard, from a boxing familyYep, always have been under Robins.

Just seen Simms getting stuck in to the keeper after the goal as well
Seems the whole team were up for it yesterday
Saw this on a Leeds vlog, check out the elbow and headlock by Bamford on Lati off the ball and then Kitching standing-up for his mate in the aftermathLati still got up and blocked the Summerville shot as well (6:09 into the vid if it doesn't start there)
Think he learned how to headlock at Everton last seasonGood to see they read the forum after all
