If we were able to sign just one of the above on a permanent deal who would you go for and why ?
armstrong more consistent i feel, i think murphy wouldnt take it well if had few bad games and fans got on his back i feel armstrong would learn from it and get on with it unlike murphy would be come disinterested and not push himself to win the fans back.
How can you possibly say that after Murphy's recent form on the back of the crowd getting at him?

Armstrong definitely the more consistent and I am convinced he would easily get 20 goals for us this season. Not so sure with Murphy.armstrong more consistent i feel, i think murphy wouldnt take it well if had few bad games and fans got on his back i feel armstrong would learn from it and get on with it unlike murphy would be come disinterested and not push himself to win the fans back.
Im going by if we had to buy one of them for the long run we wont win every game even if we get promoted well go through a bad patch and i think Murphy wouldnt handle it aswell well as armstrong but how either would react if fans did get on their back, current form sure ya murphy playing great but this about who would you take full time im just thinking ahead not current form that all ha.
Neither will sign

Lol that made me smileYes we know that Einstein, it's just a bit of fun!
Well, if we're talking theoretically, Armstrong - consistent threat, natural/instinctive finisher and would probably bag 15+ goals over the season even at Championship level. Murphy is on fire at the moment, however if his previous form is any yardstick, it's a 'peak' in form.
I'd go with the safer, more consistent option. Which isn't to say I wouldn't invest in both, given the resources.

How many games has Armstrong actually scored in?

I'm not saying he is but has he scored in more games than Murphy? I don't know the answer but I suspect only in one more game.

Murphy has scored in 4. (Walsall, Northampton, Colchester, Gillingham)
