If McClown is sacked whihc he will - he will be recalled immediately as a new manager will want to make a change - when you see the leagues top scorer in a League 1 club - he's championship level - The Geordies are virtually in the Championship again so all the expensive guys will leave !
He's a finisher. The boy can find the back of the net regardless of the league. He's a bit of a Callum Wilson/Jamie Vardy for me. He can step up the plate regardless of the league/competition.
Put it into context really, he’s an 18-year old boy who needs to develop his game. The qualities he has hurt defenders in this league but at this moment in time, I don’t think he’d be able to do that to Premier League defenders.“He needs to keep doing what he’s doing. He listens to game-plans and tries to understand the different roles he can play which will be important for his development.
“Of course, Adam is away on international duty for the next two games but when he comes back, we’ll continue to work with him and make him a better player.”
I said on BBC last week, Armstrong is like an iPhone. He's bloody brilliant, but he needs the service to work. He got the service on Saturday. Fortune is the perfect partner for Armstrong cus he's creative, experienced and he actually remembers he has teammatesI remember a few weeks ago someone on here was telling us Armstrong had been 'found out' because he didn't score for a game or two. Magic.
Absoloutly correct! its the support that he gets helps him score goals however he does have a skill set that will glean him goals without help, he will become one of the greats in the game if looked after carefullyI said on BBC last week, Armstrong is like an iPhone. I do think most though said he had just been marked out of games, after opposition teams setting out a plan to nullify him.I remember a few weeks ago someone on here was telling us Armstrong had been 'found out' because he didn't score for a game or two. Magic.

Also you have to remember, those 2 games were when we'd just lost Maddison and it took us a couple of games or so to re-adjust afterwards.
He was very little threat in 2 games, but that wasn't in anyway down to his inability.
So, assume that we get promoted.
Do you think it would be unrealistic to work out a permanent deal for the lad? What about if Newcastle were relegated also?

He's far too raw for the PL. He needs a full season playing.
That would be like saying Wilson won't score in the Championship........or the Prem. Or saying that Clarke won't score many goals this season.
Armstrong is skillful enough to score goals in the Prem. The better the side he would play in the better he would do. Yes with more games he should improve. But he certainly doesn't lack confidence.
What is wrong with Armstrong mentally?
He is experienced for his age and lack of league games. He has been brought through the ranks of the England squads. He has vision. Or how could he score from the half way line, all around the penalty area as well as inside it. He has confidence. He has skills most strikers would love. And he certainly has pace. He is the type of player that defenders hate to play against.
Have you any good points why he wouldn't score in the Prem?
