Sky Blues have had to make decision not to take up extra 3,500 tickets for FA Cup trip to the Emirates
Coventry City Football Club has had to make the decision not to take up an additional allocation of tickets for this month's FA Cup Fourth Round clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The club have been handed an initial allocation of 5,100 tickets for the clash on Friday, January 24th with an option for a further 3,500 upper tier seats should they be required.
The option on those seats was subject to an imposed deadline at 12pm today (January 14th) due to Arsenal's desire to sell to home fans.
Given that currently just over 1,000 tickets have been sold from the club's initial allocation of 5,100, the fact that the game is being broadcast live on TV on a Friday night, and the immediate demand for tickets from home fans the decision has been made not to take up the additional 3,500 tickets.
