Oh dear, someone doesn't know how to debate a point.....
Chill, gaz, man....you been done, innit!
As someone with some FA qualifications I think what the badges should give AT are alternative ways of thinking...... particularly ways of thinking as a coach or manager not an ex player..... there is a difference and not all players can or should be managers.
In particular it should help with the psychology of coaching and the ways he can consistently get the best out of all his players not just some. He will need to be adaptable, clear, focused and able to communicate well. Getting your badges is less about tactics and running around the training pitches ...... it is all about understanding the psychology and physiology in order to maximise performance. Yes AT is experienced but up until last year he was an experienced ex player with some scouting skills........ he still has a lot to learn before he is anywhere near an experienced coach or manager.
Assuming we do finally get some players in to have a decent League 1 squad in quality and numbers then for me if we struggle at the bottom of the division then sorry but AT is not the man to take us forward. Given that assumption then he has no where to hide this coming season.
just my opinion
Oh dear....
It's desperate when you have to log on under a different user name to support your own post.
I read it that you, gaz, used the bookies as an argument to defend Thorn's 'efforts' last season.
I believe that LBB, based on YOUR example, has stated that as we are 4th favourites Thorny should get this team to fourth place or higher.
It was your example being used, gaz. It seems that you wanted to use it to support Thorn's poor showing last season, possibly to hide behind/as an excuse, but when it is used to show how he should be performing in this season coming, you don't want to use it.
According to your barometer - the bookies - Thorn should have us in 4th place......:thinking about:
As an aside, I agree with you and think Thorny has been between a rock and a hard place, but I must admit that I did wonder about his tactics and motivational ability after watching every home game and some away games last season. Hopefully, now that he has his badges, we'll see a Plan B on the pitch, and a better trained squad of players?
Jeez, we've been here before - mods please confirm.
Gaz, chill man, I was backing you up.imp:
Gaz, you numpty, do you really think that I am posting under 2 names???:jerkit:
What an idiot.
Talking to yourself is mad enough, but writing messages to yourself....
Oh dear oh dear
Gaz, give it up, because look.....ointlaugh:
I'm off now, got work to do. Enjoy half term and making a :jerkit: of yourself....
A fair view, OSB 58.
Based on what I have seen - and no badges - he seems like a nice bloke, but out of his depth.
The issue for me is that if we have only 2/3 new faces coming in, do I trust AT to make the right call, and then mould them into the team to succeed....:thinking about:
More bickering, give it a rest fellas
I'd trust him to pick the right blokes ~ whether he can then get the right tactics, we'll have to see. However, let's remember, at our level we're not shopping a Harrods, in fact to para-phrase Snoz - we're not even at Woolies anymore.
