Away fans next year (1 Viewer)

Is this the season where they move the away fans right next to the home fans now considering most of our fans will be in the same stand and they want to improve the atmosphere? Most teams in this league only bring about 500 anyway so I don't see how it can be a problem

Hopefully. Even when the match is rubbish (could have applied for most of last season), the banter can liven it up!

I'm not sure there are any plans to move them closer STP which is ludicrous. I've moved my season ticket from the north stand to sit in the east, bang on the halfway line as they didn't open the south. Would be great to sit by the away fans, but the 'safety consultancy group' always seem to have more of an impact than they should.

No chance, would be nice as the gap is absolutely ridiculous, but i'd be very surprised if the safety group / wmp agreed to this

I don't understand though no one in this league is considered a rival or going to bring thousands of fans. Where's the problem? There's like 5,000 seats of segregation for 500 fans

I don't think they would want us next to likes of Swindon,Vale,Millwall, even Chestefield for dickheadish reasons.

I agree though it is stupid!

It always amazes me in the prem no gap separates thousands of fans here, huge gap separates very few fans.

I also think the police presence is way over the top most weeks, if they didn't get to charge for it and claim a bit of overtime you would see far less there.

Agreed. If the club want a better atmosphere you can't have the away fans miles away from all our fans. It's fucking stupid.

Expect more police presence at football in general next season and banning orders will be handed out for the slightest thing. The Euros being in France, they'll wanna ban anyone they think will misbehave over there and they need to justify their jollies across the channel.

You are probably right.

My friend who for his sins is a Leicester fan got a banning order for sticking two fingers up at our fans at the KP, he used to have to go and hand his passport in before England games as well.

Its a joke really. Allegedly it is because of past trouble at the Ricoh but lets face facts the Ricoh is one of the last places you'll see trouble, you see far worse things at a lot of other grounds yet they don't have the same restrictions put on them.
