By the end of this process we will have a maximum of 15 "senior" pros on our books. The definition of senior is also questionable.

Looks like Joys masterplan is in full swing didnt Liverpool win the Title and European cup using only 14 players Champions League here we come

Well yes, most clubs will have around 15 players remaining when they have released players they do not want...your point is?

Should we have a squad of 34 but only really be comfortable/confident with playing 15 of them on a regular basis?
